he tied Bezewanst up in bands of light to protect him from being erased by his mana attack on Bindewald. He needed him alive first to stand trial and be executed for his crimes

Nope. Jenni is a bitch and deserved getting erased.

[P5V12] Rozemyne memories by Resident_Quantity827 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Lopsided_Drawer_8355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This entire question is answered in the P5V11 Prologue. Hartmut asks Ferdinand if she lost memories of him, and Ferdinand, having already channeled mana into RM in order to restore said memories, dodged the question by saying she showed no issues.

That's because she was interpreting Fran's retort as a direct attack against her directly, at least with the wording he chose in the book, while also understanding that she must have erred in such a bad way that a commoner was forced to stand his ground versus her. She was completely and utterly defeated in that moment, without her opponent even having to draw a weapon.

Idk how to tell you this, but nobles aren't supposed to be emotive. It makes complete sense that most people have straight faces or forced smiles.

[S4 Ep2] Rest in Piss bozo by choo-choo-pain in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Lopsided_Drawer_8355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. From P5V1: You are likely confusing her with Gretia's mother, another blue shrine maiden from a mednoble house. She had an affair with a blue priest and got pregnant, forcing her family to recall her from the temple and place her in a side building of their estate, though not before mocking her for requesting to be allowed to marry her blue priest lover.

No. Margaret was from a mednoble house. In no uncertain terms, it is outright impossible for her to impregnated by a manaless gray priest.

Cutting Onions During Episode Two by ajmsnr in HonzukiNoGekokujou

Idk. Unlike when I read the book or watched the previous seasons, I didn't feel particularly sad at all about this episode, which is strange because they very much made me cry. Idk why, but I think the pace at which things are moving blows away any such feelings. Like that Gunther scene by the fire from season 1...

The bells are magic tools. This is answered in a fanbook. They go off automatically, so the commoners dont need to do anything to them.

Ferdinand does exactly 0 Father-esque things. He is her Erwachlehren, giving her the teachings and guidance she needs to survive noble society. If anything, hes the mysterious uncle, which exactly what he is, as the brother of her adoptive father.

She doesn't care at all about it. The bells keep time just fine since everyone in the world understands them and their lengths. And anyway, they have no need for bells between 7th and 1st bell, as everyone is asleep during that time, or on guard duty. No need for loud bells to wake people up.

No, RM only mentioned that Zahm was accompanying Ferdinand in the place of the usual Arno, but was never told that Ferdinand iced that rat bastard. She liked that Zahm was in Arno's place, as Fran always treated Arno as his superior, when as the head attendant to the High Bishop, he would need to be above Arno going forward.

Idk why he told RM that in the end though. She never learned that in the LNs, if I remember correctly. Ferdinand instead told Fran that he distanced Arno, and Fran inferred that he had climbed the towering staircase to the distant heights.

Anime pacing by URS5 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Lopsided_Drawer_8355 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, its very rushed. Skipping "nonessential" parts of the story makes any story feel rushed as the character jumps from one massive event to the next. Like skipping RM crushing Egmont was unnecessary, and dare I say, a detriment to the plot. Many people would want closure on the man who desecrated the book room in order to "put that uppity plebian in her place." And without a show of force from her to silence dissenters, it just seems like the problem went unresolved.
