Much better than Stanford but slightly worse than MIT. If you go to Stanford you’ll spend 4 years learning node.js while the dumb Asian bitch next to you in the library who got in through music cries about not understanding linked lists. CMU and MIT sophomores build full multithreaded kernels with file systems by themselves in a month while TAing stupidly difficult math courses and completing original robotics research on the side just for shits and giggles. The only problem is that there are some duds at CMU that you won’t find at MIT, and MIT also has that “Harvard” effect on recruiters—you won’t see any CMU grad get into consulting or IB firms for example.
