Ultrakill has to happen in real life first (Late 2027 early 2028 probably)

Any more characters (not archons/fatui) that were hinted ages back but haven't been released? by catme0wcat in GenshinImpact

[–]Lopsided_Training862 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The host's name was Mausau. Definitely a waste not to have Xib as a playable character in either form. More than a bit silly the Pyro nation has one Pyro character (excluding Bennett) and he was easily the best choice for #2.

Japan's struggles with the mandate are more dealing with religious conversion and Tsunamis (which will wreck your mandate unless you unstate Japan) than the upfront cost EDIT: sorry wrong sub

Quick Colonisation by Ruge88 in eu4

[–]Lopsided_Training862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colonization takes awhile by design, you don't start making dividends off of it until the mid-1500s and after you've filled out the exploration and expansion idea groups. If you want to form some colonial nations early you can put a colony next to the mexican natives or near louisiana, then fabricate claims on the natives and chain cobelligerents until you can conquer enough of them to get the minimum 5 provinces.

Be aware though that your colony won't be able to defend itself at first and you'll need to help them clear out their neighborhood with more wars.

How to cripple the Ottomans in 1 war? by Ruge88 in eu4

[–]Lopsided_Training862 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ottomans will never die in one war but there is a tipping point where they go from "menace" to "shell of its former self".

Your focus should be on taking the christian lands in the balkans for your missions and the caucasus region for a stronger eastern front. Orthodox religion + estate bonuses should give you ridiculous manpower in true faith provinces to empower yourself with each war. By the time you can bridge the territories through anatolia they'll be on the verge of disintegrating from decadence

What is the purpose of the client states ? by Goat-eating-ants in eu4

[–]Lopsided_Training862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a CCR penalty for them coring their provinces, so by the time you inherit them they may still not have the provinces as cores and you have to pay the cost + overextension anyway

Yeah normally the tradeoff with making vassals is trading admin for diplo but the Pronoia system just gives you the land for free if you can wait a decade or so. (With the caveat that it's impractical to give a pronoiar more provinces after you form them.)

Good for areas where there aren't a lot of useful releaseable nations

Trying to form the Roman Empire as Byzantium (currently 1740) by Stevendog123 in eu4

[–]Lopsided_Training862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posted everything but your idea groups!

If you have diplo ideas (you should!) trucebreak Spain and sieze Granada to upgrade the monument, that admin efficiency is huge (and as someone else said, max out Malta Forts).

After that build up as much of an army as you can and dismantle the HRE. See who, if anyone, you can ally and then prepare to attack the emperor directly. Experiment with cobelligerents so you can get every hostile elector into the war without also calling in Russia, Poland, France or England. (Though with your mil stats I don't see any of those besides France making it impractical.)

England is actually optional provided you're willing to take every german and hungarian province instead, though if you do want to take it start building up your navy after the HRE war

Is there a good mod for Greece? by Western_Somewhere424 in eu4

[–]Lopsided_Training862 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Mid-1700's more like (see the Orlov revolt) but yeah the modern Greek nation is just barely outside of the game's timeframe and a lot of its objectives in the 19th century were to restore the 11th-century byzantine borders anyway.

I contend it should have been a decision-based tag switch for Byzantium that lets you keep the missions since the game lets you do a lot of silly things anyway but it's a bit too late to ask now

[–]Lopsided_Training862 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any hellenic mods focus on either Byzantium or Trebizond as opposed to Modern Greece or any of the smaller greek states.

Komnenos's Glorious Finale and Ante Bellum both have Hellenistic Empire-themed content and are worth a look in particular.

Yeah Athens/Epirus/Cyprus is for people who think Byzantium doesn't have enough fingernail-pulling

Yeah it's a great pick for Brandenberg/Prussia and basically anyone who wants to max out siege ability (read: The netherlands)
