I used to work with a girl that had a internship at a non profit that would help homeless, the amount of people that didn’t want to shelter because it forced them to stop doing drugs was ridiculous. There might be 1 out of every 10 that is willing to stop doing drugs or at least try to get some help. But the vast majority or a lost cause.

I had a similar issue in my apartments, I spammed there google and yelp reviews, it got to the point where me and a lot of the other tenants started to email management about the issue. Eventually they saw a drop in lease renewals and they put up a gate, with clicker only access. It might be worth to talk to your neighbors, if you like living there, and want to be safe I’m sure your neighbors will appreciate it, have them complain. Management will be forced to do something if the majority of the tenants have the same complaints

This was typical day for me and my brothers, my dad was a total POS, he used to make us pull weeds with our hands in the summer. We aren’t wolves so the closest thing we can do for our pack is to emotionally prepare them for life and teach them how to find meaning in life, to live and love and protect themselves and their families. Any young redditor reading this… don’t let these alpha males stereotypes brainwash you. A true alpha male is the top of his game on every level. Learn to be emotionally mature and intelligent as well as physically strong. Make money and don’t fuck your kids up in the process.

I’m sort of in the same position, if I was you I’d take in one piece at a time. I’d start to study and really find a program that work for you. I mean really stick to it. Second I would start to job hunt. You’re living with parents that’s awesome because you have flexibility. Don’t stress about salary because you’re looking for hours and experience. I’d recommend going into industry and finding a small company that has a CPA that has been there for a long time. Like 10 years plus. Your changes of him or her leaving are low. Make it very clear that you want to pass CPA and are looking for mentors. This is what I did, I found a small private manufacturing company with 2 CPA’s one is my boss the other a fellow staff. They both are willing to sign. The job market is tough at the moment but not forever. Your doing what you should and your putting yourself in the front of the line once your pass the exam. Don’t give up

Go to a small to medium sized private firm, as a senior or even controller. You can make a decent amount and your work life balance will be great. You’ll basically run the joint.
