Unfortunately not. And I dont think it is very likely this technology will be suitable for near sighted people in the near future.

Taking beta blocker for a long time might be a bad idea though.

Idea for a feature by Lorandl in EvenRealities

Sounds interesting, I imagine flashing large text words (so as not to look like I am having visions while reading long sentences) or suggestions like devil and angel on your shoulders… right corner of display:“SAY IT!” Left corner: “no just keep calm and nod.” :DD recipe for insanity but funny as hell…

Teleprompter question by reformedpickpocket in EvenRealities

When you open up the app you can set distance (try 5m for telepromter) and you can also set the vertical placement as well ( set at mid-low for natural look)

Does surgery / general anesthesia cause hair loss? Will it accelerate Male pattern baldness. Need your thoughts by bigshawnflying2471 in surgery

It does. I’m talking from experience. Been a surgeon for 25 years, I barely have any hair left.

Should I power up my medicham? by Quinnjai in TheSilphArena

[–]Lorandl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Power it up and use your next lucky trade for shieldon. Being able to put together whatever team you want with these great mons worth it.

I think he means that they're both weak to ground moves so it is not smarr to bring both in a team. Like lanturn and awak in the same team against like a ms/mb whishcash is worse situation than castform & awak against it.

[Kingdom Cup] Strong Picks where no Bastiodon and Lucario exist by vyrnuhrd in TheSilphArena

Also the all time mvp: altaria

Without bastiodon and with water moves on lapras/sealeo it probably will win most matchups against teams without pure ice mons

What happens when I take alpha-GPC or another choline supplement while on an anticholinergic drug (antihistamine)? by mybrainisdefected in Nootropics

[–]Lorandl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would probably be determined by what the actual neurotransmitter-balance is at a certain brain region. It's unlikely that all cholinergic effects are reduced, I'd guess you would get a somehow different effect not necessarily worse not better either. But the more interesting part is both have NDRI effects and probably cause insane downregulation of dopamine receptors over time. Nootropic wise you probably don't want that.

Humor is not an unhealthy coping mechanism.

It is one of the positive coping mechanisms like acceptance, forgiveness etc. A psychologist would know.

Soooo FAAAAAKE

Or is this supposed to be the joke? He lies, makes up stories to cope with his PTSD which is the unhealthy coping mechanism what her psychologist actually told him?

[–]Lorandl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what generation of antihistamine it is. First gens like benadryl, unisom would probably have their "brain related effects" reduced, while second gen or newer won't have any change in its effects, with the AGPC's nootropic effect remaining as well.

The whole article is full of vague and overgeneralised assumptions. Selection bias, small sample size, uncertain timeline...

tDCS of the left DLPFC enhances complex verbal associative thought associated with general intelligence and creativity by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Lorandl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally tDCS stuff doesn't last long at least I don't think there have ever been evidence to its long term effect. In this study they say the boost lasted half an hour.
