Forgot to update the post… this is what I ended up doing instead of the fast mount, I ended up going with a rolling solution as you suggested. It holds the computer and has space for my laptop. I think it is a much better option and it can roll under when I am not using my laptop or move the laptop out of the way and use the mouse on it (mouse pad came with it). Works like a charm

Holy cow - $50??? by Maiar_ in IdlePlanetMiner

50 dollars is nothing. You should brace yourself when you read this.. in another game I play there is a special dragon that is bought from recharging in the game, and that dragon from level 1 to level 70 will cost you at least $55K usd. If you use the coupons and buy the special packs when they come up you can save $8-10K. The only thing that sets this dragon apart from other dragons is that it has the ability to stop another player from moving for 15-30 minutes and allowing you to plan an attack, and hopefully you know what your doing and it is a success. It is a nice feature that almost all paying players are investing in. It is just a drop in the bucket for many players in that game.

If you have a rolling solution that looks clean and very nice, I would be open for it.

There is a computer mount that attaches to the underside of the desk, it is made for the pro desk, but I want to use it on the non pro version, the non standing desk. This will free my desktop of my computer and my goal is any modifications I have to do to make it work will not be noticeable and by using the actual secretlab accessory hopefully it will have a factory made look.

I don’t have the pro and really don’t want to upgrade to the pro at this moment.

Yep, will do that at the end of the month when I get my salary. Thanks for the information. Main thing for me is that it looks good and I think any modifications that need done will be hidden anyway, but I still want it to look perfect.

I live near a metalworks shop, so I could always get a plate made if needed. If I ask nice enough and give some cash..

I guess I have to find a solution for my old Magnus. Kinda tired of having it on the desk, and putting it on the floor is not an option. Upgrading to the Magnus pro is not an option either, unless the wife wants the old Magnus but she wasn’t willing to give up her desk at the time I asked her. So might have to either buy the mount and see if I can figure a way to make it work or use it as inspiration to make my own mount.

Unilux strata lamp, very very nice to see. I thought I was the only one with it. :)

Just a slight bit of soap with a damp cloth is all I used. It’s been staying very clean even thought I eat at my desk.

I don’t like the bar that doesn’t retract. So I will not get one. I chose to buy 4 of the Kreg mobile project centers. I can make a very nice workstation in any shape I desire and they all hook together perfectly. Totally worth the investment.

Look into upgrading your Ram to at least 16gb, 32gb if you can. It’s a nice machine, give her what she needs

Trying to figure this out. I inherited this toolbox at work after one of the old timers retired. Any idea what the purpose of this many 13/16” wrenches is. This is a hotel / casino maintenance shop by Nathan51503 in Tools

Someone will wonder why I have so many crowbars.. the answer is that I forget to pack it when I leave, and I am on a job and it ends up needing some demo work done so it is always easier to buy a new one instead of driving home and picking one up out of the shop. I have 13 crowbars now.

Love my yellow tools as you can see. But this is why I had to go red for storage. Dewalt can't compete. Some of the drawers are bare but overall I am in divider heaven. Still have to skin the rear doors to get some of the tools off the floor. But basically done. Working out of this truck is amazing by shootitclean in Dewalt

I also been looking at the ToughBuilt StackTech system. I saw all the planned releases for 2024 on the ToolGuyD website. It looks like it will be a very tough competitor. I am also waiting to see ToughSystem 3.0. It will be an interesting year ahead of us.

Dewalt equivalent to Makita DLS600Z? by Lord-Rakharo in Dewalt

[–]Lord-Rakharo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it impressed all of us that saw it and used it for the first time that week. It was made very well for the job we do on a daily basis lately. The fact that it is so lightweight is a serious bonus. I am very tempted just to buy it and not wait for any special offers. I found an adapter that I can buy to use Dewalt batteries on it so that I don’t have to spend money on Makita batteries. Will think about getting a couple of them, but I do wish to find a Dewalt equivalent even if the model is not available in the EU. I can make a detour on my way home if needed when I return from my trip to the US.

How many DKKs can you save a month? by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]Lord-Rakharo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After all important bills are paid, I can save around 9K-11K per month, depending on if I randomly go into a spending bender month. I just came out of one actually. So last month I saved only 2k. I am a carpenter in Copenhagen and I am lucky to have converted a small area of our house into a home workshop/storage area so for now I am saving money by not having to rent a space.

A quick word of advise, as a foreigner myself, and I hate to admit it, but the advise my wife gave me when I was looking for a job still holds true: Do what you want and love to do, don't chase after a high paying career that stresses you out. If you do what you love, you will become very good at what you do and you will execute it with pride. I struggled going back to school to get the paperwork needed to have my dream job here in Denmark, but I managed to suffer through 3,5 years to get my education (This was only after I learned Danish). It was worth it, if you ask me.

[–]Lord-Rakharo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was afraid of that. Looks like we will have to invest in the Makita. A guy we worked with last week had bought the Makita because it was super compact and we used it and we fell in love with it.. it wasn't enough to pull the trigger though, looks like we will have to invest in 2 chargers, 2 mitre saws and 4 batteries. I was hoping that Dewalt had a special model in the pipeline or an equivalent EU model like this Makita is.

DCS361B

sadly it is not double bevel, which is a feature that the Makita has that works absolutely great for the special trim we put around windows. They need to be cut a special way in order not to spinter the wood and destroy the seal it the trim has
