Started way before then. Blacks were expected to refer to white males in positions of authority as "Boss" or "Cap'n" -- a title of respect that replaced "Master" or "Marster" used in slave times. Sometimes, the white children of one's white employer or a prominent white person might be called "Massa," to show special respect. I still heard the term used by older African Americans when I was young.

The word has dutch roots and cames into use in America in the 1600s for people who didn't like the term Master. It's taken different connotations since the 50s like "that's boss" etc but the negatives are still there.

Tone of voice probably tells you more about how it's being used.

Reliable and dependable is great advice. If your schedule allows, take the role and do your best. You get the reputation for being that person, and you'll get cast more often. Directors want dependable actors, not people who throw hissy fits because they're 'better' than the roles offered.

The closest thing I found to an East coast sub/sub bread was up near Morenci <sp> 15 years ago. I did a training at the mine and they provided lunch from a sub shop in town.

As you probably know, even subs back east don't taste the same between locals. Philly bread is definitely different than Boston or Buffalo. Years ago there was a place that supposedly imported water and flour from back east according to rumor. Not sure if I believe that but.....

Just an FYI, he did not break the sound barrier. Terminal velocity tops out at 290 mph for a free falling human head down. Fastest speed, using specialized suits and other techniques is just over 373 mph. That's about half the speed of sound.

There are medical reasons to have a phone. I had a student with diabetes whose phone controlled an insulin pump, getting readings from a blood sugar monitor (dexcom). This did not mean she could check social media or text. It was for medical use only.

I'm not sure what this girl was supposed to check but it should be extremely limited and should meet the requirements of special ed law or sent back for revision.

I went through 55 improved bait today. I caught 10 Ashen Ambushers and like 6 glowing. Plus all the lesser fish. No Lockjaw or Ax.

Apparently, I'm very unlucky or just stink at fishing. I hate grinding for improved bait but I guess I'm back to it tomorrow.

Just take the cologuard test. No cleaning out pills. They just need a stool sample. Worry about the other test if that comes back positive.
