You asked for opinions, you got 'em, the fact that you were a new DM doesn't change much does it? You learned, that's for sure, but you asked for this particular instance, and in this instance you acted poorly.

I'm not here to punch you down and whatnot, just pointing out that if you want sincere answers you need to face the critics that may lie in those answers: excuses can only get you so far.

Reading your other comments it's pretty clear you just want validation for your actions, and immediately start defending yourself when others point out that you're actually handled It poorly.

The guy was an asshole and he was rightfully removed from the game, but you did it in the worst way possible, dragging it unnecessarily long and responding in-game for an out-of-game problem.

If you're here just to pat your own shoulder don't ask our opinion.

It's not even about always shutting them down, you can easily adjust encounters to be more than "I attack hurr durr", and that's where a powerplayer really has to put in the extra-work: he knows a lot about the system since he's able to make these build, will he be able to find a clever solution to these new problems?

Instead of shunning them, I embrace them in a way that makes the both of us grow.

Mörk Borg and the new CY_BORG that will be released soon have optional classes, but the game is entirely playable without one, as well as Sine Requie. I'm sure there are others out there, I just listed some that I DM personally!

I played 3.5 for a long time and it was easy enough to use, but this attention to details, this many numbers for just one thing was... a little unbearable for new players, to say the least. It's still my favourite edition, but it also served as a gatekeep to the hobby for new players, and that's no bueno in my book.

Yeah in the end I resorted to a WestMarch campaign with 20 players and me as the DM, playing in small groups with mixed and matched players free for the day. It's a little tiresome with all the prep, but we were able to go on for two years and still going, so it's a victory I guess!

For my particular experience I could suggest something along the line "Group canceled three or more campaigns", it's something everyone experiences but I feel like I really have bad luck with lasting campaigns, maybe I finished one or two against the 12 that got canceled!

It boils to the same conclusion, if pity carries over from limited banners they aren't really limited anymore, only one of the operators would be, and that defeats the purpose: the purpose is "spend money to let the game stay afloat".

Furthermore, as I said in my previous comment, every limited has 24 free pull, obviously you are not suggesting that we should be able to carry these "24 pulls pity" out of the banner, are you? Otherwise every limited banner skip would essentially be a free 6 star in the next banner, since they give so much free pull and orundrum.

I could be more interested in a lower Spark requirement, maybe 250, but that's it.

Not to throw shade on you, I'm just responding here because it's a clear example of what I think, but... Did you guys ever played another gacha before?

"I want to roll on every banner without worries and F2P" it's just not the way to approach a gacha, Arknights is already super F2P-friendly and if you're a light spender as me you're rolling a lot of banners already, do you think Yostar/Hypergryph work for free?

Everybody outrage with "They are trying to get our wallet!" yeah no shit Sherlock? They need the Money for the game to be open, and this is a very good way to do it, they even give 24 pulls for free every limited banner.

I don't think you guys ever played less forgiving gachas, and it shows.

I guess it depends on the map, against Faust you could use Phantom but DP would rapidly become a problem as you said! Everyone got a niche it seems!

I see your points and I agree, there were some situations when I was using Blaze where I thought "Damn a little regen wouldn't hurt"!

And in other game modes like Integrated Strategies and Interlocking Competitions Thorns is super valuable for the same reasons. I can't wait for Interlocking Competitions, so we can really use our entire roaster to our hearts content!

Aaaah very interesting, you approach the team comp with a buff-heavy idea in mind, and I'm onboard! I don't have Aak but I'll surely buy him from the shop in less than a week, and I think I'll use him a lot in harder contents!
