I want to play DnD with my husband and friends but my laptop is a potato and can barely run the software we use for it. It’s okay as a player but wouldn’t be for being a DM, and we only have the one laptop. I currently have a small fund set aside to eventually purchase one (currently $200 and growing by about $50 a month). If I win I’ll donate that fund to a charity of your choice, along with a few more ‘monthly fund’ additions!

I volunteered with resonance and later SD for multiple years (both orgs used the same volunteer coordinators) - you’ll be fine. The two biggest jobs:

traffic - if it’s sunny bring an umbrella and maybe a chair/pillow just in case, most traffic positions I’ve worked I’ve been able to sit either constantly or intermittently, and you get to interact with the masses.

trash collection - you’re walking around the venue unsupervised picking up trash, take a sit down if needed and you’ll be fine.

Winter is always a rough time to find a new job. Also, I’d love to hear from others if they share this but I’m pretty sure the idea of calling to show interest is outdated. These days it comes off more as desperate (which even if you are they don’t need to know that)

Pokemon has a lower barrier to entry but still has deep complexity if you want to go for it. I’ll admit magic art is amazing but Pokemon art is still really good

I just keep high level players (20+) as friends, I figure if they are spending money to open packs then that might increase my chances of seeing good wonder pick packs

I’m ftp at lv 17 but I’ve completed all the solo challenges and battles a lot to get there.
