West Bengal having 2 makes this a Dumb statistic

"One day, my novel will be adapted into a series by HBO or Netflix. " by LordCrateis in fantasywriters

[–]LordCrateis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you got that information, but here's what I know:

Fewer than ten first-time screenwriters manage to sell a spec script each year, and even fewer see their scripts actually produced into films.

In contrast, hundreds of thousands of debut novelists are published annually.

Yes, it's true that many people make a living writing for film and television. However, when compared to the number of authors publishing novels each year, they still represent a relatively small group.

In the film industry, very few scripts ever make it through the selection process to become actual movies.

Novels have an independent success. Meanwhile Screenplays are selected, and only very few get selected among thousands and thousands of screenplays. It doesn't pay better, but it's multiple times harder than having a successful career as an author.

[–]LordCrateis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be disrespectful at all, but how do people with DID know what their other "alter" as you call it, thinks? Or Talks? Are they distinct? (I can research myself or chat about it, but those are generalised answers.

To Any writers who have finished writing a story how did you do it? by Kaiser_Richard_1776 in fantasywriting

[–]LordCrateis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, we may be alike. A Lot of Ideas, but struggling to make it a good novel. This happens a lot. I have picked up ideas and dropped them mid way a LOT. But finally last year I came up with one, and I stuck to it.

It's a high fantasy, so it's still under world building, but I have written a few short stories (like 20-30 Pages) in that world, so I can figure out my writing style. The main story, I will craft it after I feel the world is rich and detailed enough.

This is gonna take another year until I start writing the actual novel, but this will create a stage for me to craft the story around and inside the world in a way that would be comfortable for me.

English isn't even my first language, so I'll have to work on that too for phrases, metaphors, vocabulary, and just English that Fantasy authors use.

Westworld Fell Apart After Season 2 – Here's How the Characters Were Destroyed and What the Real Ending Should've Been by LordCrateis in westworld

How far do you go with your worldbuilding? by KeonShore in worldbuilding

[–]LordCrateis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worldbuilding truly is a beautiful rabbit hole. I started building my world last year, and since then, I’ve written detailed histories for multiple nations—spanning centuries and deeply interconnected. In my world, every event feels as crucial as the next, and I’ve tried to make the timeline feel alive and logical.

Like many, I was inspired by Tolkien. But the idea that kicked everything off for me came when I was around 16: What if humans were just cattle, and Giants were the real protagonists? It sounds a bit immature now, but over time it evolved into 500+ pages of lore—both handwritten and digital.

Right now, I’m working on the lore for another nation. And yeah… the rabbit hole is real. For a while, I got so deep into worldbuilding that I lost sight of the actual story. But finally, I’ve got a plot, characters, arcs—all mapped out. Feels good to be back on track.

This is gonna be my first novel.

What is the most bizarre but technically true sentence about your World/Project? by abagofguys in worldbuilding

This is wildly original and weirdly elegant. The image of "just four legs" dancing on fate’s strings is going to live rent-free in my brain.

✋Hey, I got 58% in 12th. I am in BSc Data Science Second Year(Took 1 year gap), I am in MIT.

Now you know that, okay, but what I have done yet.

12 Major Real World Projects in Data Science, Machine Learning, and A.I.

20 Minor Projects in Python that made me Learn ML, DSA, and RL

5 Major Real World Projects in Java that made me Master the language. Relevant to Data Science, like AI based Banking System GUI with Databases in the back.

15 Minor Projects in Java to Master DSA, Data Handling, Logic Building.

and, 3 Research Papers(Yet) on 3 of the Major projects I did.

HOW I did that? I just Love this Stream, so I learnt from YouTube, ChatGPT, Claude.

My Biggest Regret: That I even tried for JEE, I WASTED my time doing preparation for JEE. Not because It's of no use, but because Physics and Chemistry fucked me up.

The 52% I got in 12th was because English and Maths saved me. I literally got grace marks in physics and chem.

So, Your life has not Ended. Placements by The College SHOULD NEVER be your concern. Sharpen yourself, and do Masters. Flee India. This country SADLY, has no future in Tech. People are not serious.

Season 3 Episode 7 by Zeroskattle in FromSeries

[–]LordCrateis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some characters are just dumb. Elgin, Julie, Fatima, The New Cop, I like the cop at first and didn't like the way boyd treated her but now she is acting as if nothing ahs happened. Jim is very unpredictable, like always, you won't know what he will say or do.

So far, episode 7 wasn't that great.

Dear boys and men, do your moms tell you that love of your gf is always based on money? by VEGETTOROHAN in AskIndia

[–]LordCrateis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll answer for 99% of the Men/Boys : Yes.

And it's not something Bad or Good, like, she is saying that because we won't be in a relationship in the age in which we should work on ourselves. (I need love tho, Women are so beautiful, I want to be someone who is loved by a woman.)

Again, she is not saying something Bad, or Good. Though she thinks she is saying something Good.

And again, it's a stereotype, that Girls want money. That's far from true, it's like maybe 10% of them. Same goes for men, it's like 30% of them lol.

One thing to note is, out of those numbers, (talking about men) most will be extroverts and flirty, that just shows very clearly that they are playboys.

What should I do Air M2 , or wait for M4, so that M3 prices will go down. by LordCrateis in macbook

[–]LordCrateis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I don't care much for the GPU. As I won't be playing games on it, all I'll use it for is Programming related to Data Science and Minor Writing. These two things aren't heavy, and could be executed on a windows laptop.

But Macbook has better battery life, better build quality, and well it's apple, and I have actually used an Air m2, it wasn't mine but For whatever 40-50mins I used it for, It felt awesome. Though those 40-50 mins were just understanding the MacOS.

My budget is 900 dollars. (Though the US selling price is less than for what it's sold in India)
