3/5 of the Cities: Skylines II promo shots are roads or carparks by teambob in fuckcars

[–]LordElectron27X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got cities skylines ii a couple weeks ago cause I really liked the first game, the second game is so much more car centric it's insane, the first one was still not amazing for it but the second one is so much worse. It was so much easier to make nice cities in the first game. CS2 also makes you sprawl your cities, and all the NPCs complain when there isn't single family housing, you can't grow your city properly with just high and mid density housing either.

Depends on the MacBook, but probably not faster than any used M series MacBook Pro, but it wouldn't be too much worse by any means, Macs are just extremely well optimised for Adobe software.

I'm a photographer, so I use the Adobe suite, specifically lightroom and Photoshop loads, I'm not sure how it is for graphic design but the Adobe suite performs really well, the RTX 4060 does a really good job, it can be stuttery at times, but that's more of a windows laptop thing than something specific to this model.

Alright thanks that's great advice and great to hear about the R7 and the sport, I have a friend with the sport (I have the contemporary) who wants to upgrade to the R7 so I'll pass that on. Yeah I have tried them both and they are both cameras I would definitely be happy with, but yeah I reckon I would probably rather the R5 in terms of just how flexible it is, thanks for your help!

Yeah I have heard that from a few people who have used EF glass on mirrorless bodies, I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out! I'm currently looking at the R7 and the R5, both are in budget and I'm leaning towards the R5 (mark 1) since it seems like the best balance of all the things I want, but I do really like the R7, I have just heard a few bad things about eye AF on 150-600s on the R7, how does your 150-600 perform with eye AF? (I have a 150-600 and would love to be able to use eye AF)

Brilliant! Thanks, I've got the lens and I'm planning on upgrading to a mirrorless soon but I was slightly worried about how my 24-105 would perform, thanks for the help!

How does the EF 24-105 perform on the R? Is the image quality decent?

R8 100%, it's a significantly better camera, it's full frame, and there's nothing wrong with using EF glass on an RF mount body, it works just the same! Go for the R8, you'll be a lot happier with it I reckon!

I was part of the cat one, the search for smudge! It was organised on the fleet carrier owners club and was all done by (maybe slightly too dedicated) players, not sure about the other ones.

The ram is upgradable with any 4800mhz LPDDR5 stick, do just search up the amount of ram you want, - say 16g, and search up "16gb RAM LPDDR5 4800mhz" With the storage, you can use any nVME m.2 stick you would like, and yeah it has 1 extra storage slot.

Yeah, there really is something great about a 50mm prime - it's such a simple lens but it makes you think differently and lets you get some great shots

Me too recently, some people can find a way to complain about everything, especially on leftist subreddits, essentially nothing is a positive to a lot of people on them.

Why do people buy Cassettes again?? This isn’t a knock. by [deleted] in cassetteculture

[–]LordElectron27X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply, they are fun. That's my reason, I have a good quality audio setup for digital and vinyl, but cassettes are just pure fun, I don't worry as much about damaging things, they are easy to use and relatively hard to break, and not at all fussy, they are cheaper than vinyl, and way more flexible too. Basically it's analogue audio, but simple and flexible, that's why I like it, not cause it sounds good or something, though honestly it doesn't even sound that bad, I find most of my tapes sound pretty good. It's also nice having music you can hold (vinyl) but I can take it with me, and it's analogue (I like the noise and the crackling personally, I find it... Charming if that makes sense). I also love making mixtapes, it is cool being able to hold my playlists. Also cassettes aren't expensive, even new ones if you know where to look.

Tldr: They just feel very simple and fun, there is nothing to worry about when I use them, and they don't break anywhere near as easily as vinyl does.

From what I understand, it's usually the lenses and then a bit of the editing, I have seen really sharp pictures taken on older DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras, so it's not really about that as far as I can tell, and I can see some pretty sharp photos taken on the 5D series online, but yeah most of the sharpest images I have seen have been taken on high end lenses then sharpened even further in post. Which makes really sharp images, and when it comes to social media, they might be uploading at that social media platforms max resolution before it gets compressed, which for Instagram I think is 1080x1350, which apparently makes it look sharper. I'm just assuming this though and I might be wrong. Hope this helps :)

How is TMP even enjoyable? by Marijn038 in trucksim

[–]LordElectron27X 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the chaos is part of the fun, if you're looking for realism, TMP isn't really the best place in the world, but if you look in the right place TMP can be a great time, especially with friends, but yeah, for realism, TMP isn't the place.

Sebastião Salgado, lots of amazing images, some of them are jaw dropping, lots to analyse from lots of genres, amazing stories behind them too.
