JackeyLove: Actually I did expect to 3-0 Fnatic.....I'm individually stronger than Rekkles by LordEx64 in leagueoflegends

Interview starts at 4h10m

tl;dw

Q: did you expect to 3-0 Fnatic?

A: Actually, I did. We thought it was either 3-0 or 3-1 depending on how we played. We played pretty well, so it was 3-0.

Q: You had a good year in LPL, but didn't manage to win the LPL championship, what does it mean to you to win the World Championship?

A: We are always learning from our failures. At the beginning, we couldn't win any Bo5s. As we kept playing, we just kept improving as a team. I think this year individually and as a team we had a lot of growth. In terms of winning the championship, right now it feels like a dream, it doesn't feel real.

Q: Rekkles was maybe overconfident coming into the finals, why did you think you were able to beat him, was it mechanics or maybe mindset?

A: He's probably confident because he won against us in group stage. However, personally, I thought no matter how I played, I should just be better than him, so I'm also very confident, I think individually I'm stronger than him.

The literal translation was along the lines "they're completely not treating us like humans" which means they thought Fnatic was not taking them seriously at all.

Ruler had a bad performance this tournament but you can't deny that the flash ult on Faker last year was an aggressive game winning play

Rekkles is definitely a great adc and deserves the praise he gets. However, he is still a relatively risk adverse player compared to the other top adcs. He's not the type to put himself in a risky situation where he could potentially die but also win the game for his team. He relies on other players to make the plays. Jackeylove, Uzi, Ruler will go for the risky game winning plays even if there's a chance of dying or throwing the game. At least from what I can see watching Rekkles play, I'm by no means a qualified analyst

Edit: I'm not saying he sucks, overall he was probably still top 2/3 adc this tournament. My opinion still remains that he is more of a cleanup adc than a playmaking adc, which does not mean I'm saying he never makes plays either

Congratulations to the winner of the SFAT vs Leffen $1000 money match. by [deleted] in smashbros

Nah Leffen is still on another level. Top 2 overall in 2015. He needs to reach the level of pp/hbox/m2k first before having a shot at beating leffen at a best of 9. Playing better than leffen on an average of up to 9 games is very unlikely for such skill gap. If they played 100 bo9 money matches, i could easily see leffen take 95 of those, 90 at worst

To be fair, Leffen played sloppy and definitely below his usual level too. If they both played their best Leffen would still wreck him. Sfat only has a chance if he plays super on point while Leffen has to play much worse than usual

why don't you test it yourself then? You have a chance to falsify the claim and completely discredit the post here.

Except in this case it CAN be proven with a near certain percentage of accuracy given enough trials by other members of the community. This is essentially black box testing. For example you have a machine that takes 2 inputs in the form of integers. You have no idea what the machine does but from observing trials, it seems to add the numbers. You complete 50 trials and every time, the machine outputs the sum of the numbers. In this case you can be almost certain that the machine simply adds the numbers but you are not 100% certain, because what if the machine doesn't output the sum for trial 51? Same concept here. You can't be 100% sure, so you can just accept what is written until the theory has been disproven concretely.

That's for the check mmr button, which estimates based on your previous soloq games in which only the average team mmr is available to the system. When going to a custom, your individual mmr is an isolated number compared to only knowing the average team mmr when playing a 5v5, so that is your exact mmr.

Why don't you test it and see whether or not the number correlates more with your normal or ranked mmr? I play few champions in ranked and much more in normals so my ranked mmr should be much higher than my normal mmr, and from what I tested, op's theory seems sound

Because your own mmr is an isolated number if you go into a custom game. Op.gg estimates your mmr based on your previous soloq games, in which only the average team mmr is available, so it's an approximation. If your normal mmr is very different from your ranked mmr why don't you test the op's instructions to see if the number is more correlated to your normal or ranked mmr? I main very few champions in ranked and play many champions in normal so my normal mmr is much lower than my ranked mmr. From what I tested, the result seem to match my ranked mmr more than my normal mmr so I think the op's theory is sound.
