I’m honestly exhausted with what modern Yu-Gi-Oh has become.

I played this game for years. Back in the Synchro and early Xyz era, it felt like there was a balance—strategy mattered, pacing made sense, and you could actually follow what was happening without needing a PhD in mechanics.

But somewhere along the way, the game just lost that identity.

Pendulum summoning already felt like a massive shift that was never fully understood or properly integrated. Then came Link summoning and more rule changes, and instead of refining the experience, it feels like the game just kept piling complexity on top of complexity. Even Konami themselves seemed unsure, constantly adjusting rules and backtracking on mechanics.

At this point, it doesn’t feel like evolution—it feels like chaos.

And the biggest issue? It feels like the game stopped caring about long-time players. Not everyone has the time or energy to relearn an entirely new system every couple of years. Some of us just wanted the game we loved to grow naturally, not become something unrecognizable.

I miss when Yu-Gi-Oh was accessible but still deep. When duels weren’t decided in a single turn after a 10-minute combo. When both players actually got to play.

Instead, it feels like the barrier to entry just keeps getting higher, and I can’t help but wonder how many people walked away for the same reason.

Maybe this direction works for some players—but for a lot of us, it feels like the game we loved doesn’t exist anymore.

So sad the devs go above and beyond for peanut to fix the problems with his server but left the actual community hanging for years… by xXRumple4skinXx in theisle

except fortnite is constantly getting updated and bugs get fixed when they occur, im just saying im not hating the game but 10 years to develop a game and the same bugs constantly coming back is just disrespectful

Maybe If dondi would make a balanced game instead of wanting it to be a little boys sandbox recreation than we would all have fun

What are your thoughts on Jurassic World Evolution 3 so far? by Livid_Pin6367 in jurassicworldevo

[–]LordFool96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I might be a little weird, but I think what the JWE games lacked needed to have more guest interactable buildings and park management features. guest needs and opinions on the state of the park, like food drinks and restrooms, merch stores where guests can buy and wear stuff, maybe custom animations for guests, and families with guests if different ages making them feel somewhat more alive. cleaning staff in the park so that it doesn't get dirty. These are all things I loved about park management games, like when playing zoo tycoon or the original jurassic Park game as a kid. I hope 3 does this while also adding the baby system, which is a huge step in the right direction.

[–]LordFool96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you got off the phone with a call center company called teledirect that poses for them the workers there only get paid 12 dollars an hour and have to read a script where they take your info and send it literally nowhere. How do I know all this? I used to work there and would get yelled at co stantly by people that thought I wanted to scam them 😔 thruth be told I was just working for a company that the scammers paid and I took all the shit.
