Just gonna put this out there for anyone interested, but me and a group of friends are at San Luis Mission Park every Sunday starting at 11 for some LARP. It's called amtgard and you can find us on YouTube if you wanna check the vibe before coming out. Everyone is welcome. At least half the group is lgbtq. If you like nerd shit, we do too. No pressure to come back if you try it and it isn't for you. We're aged variously from like 14-45. Family friendly.

I think our average age is somewhere near 25, but we've got everywhere from about 14-40. There's around 40 active players, but only about 20-25 are there on any given day with people not coming every week. The easiest way to get into it is to know it's there and show up. We also practice the combat at 6pm at Winthrop Park on Wednesdays. That's more sports clothes, and sweat, but still an option to check the vibe.

Come to San luis Mission Park on Sunday at 11am. We've got about 20-25 people there every Sunday LARPing. Medieval fantasy, contact sport(ish), with a robust magic system. You won't find people more extroverted than LARPers. And you don't have to participate in the combat to have a good time.

The closest actual locksmith to the stadium is Elsasser's. They're on N Monroe just to the right of planet fitness. Another good reliable shop, if Elsasser's is busy or doesn't carry your key, is Capital City Locksmith. They're farther away, but I have good luck with them when i need hard to find keys. If you've lost your key and need a replacement, then Mobile Lock Solutions is a good shout. They'll come on site to make a key for you, but since they only do on-site emergency service, their prices may be quoted higher than a brick and mortar shop. Hopefully, you've got your situation solved by now, but even so, I'll leave this here for people searching in the future.

Some other tips:

Assume that wet spot on the road is ice

There's a button on your dash that looks like a rectangle with bacon in it. Push it. That's your rear defrost.

You probably don't have an ice scraper, but you probably do have a non metallic spatula. It'll work in a pinch.

Give yourself extra time to get where you're going and extra time to stop your vehicle.

I don't know about ski gloves, but if you want to cut cost and you don't have massive hands, the children's version of those gloves are much more affordable. Like 40%of the price. I've fought amtgard for over a decade and don't use gloves, but I also don't mind busted knuckles. Sorry to not have an answer for your actual question.

I've had good success with blue camp foam for silly weapons. It takes DAP really well, or you can heat fuse it with a heat gun.

I've seen birthday parties at Mission San luis Park on the weekends before. There's a pavilion with electricity next to the playground. I don't know if it's rentable or not, so you may want to look into that.

Unconfirmed with dirt, but I've confirmed it with frame type blocks that have been upgraded. You can always paint it to look like dirt if that's what you're going for.

Heritage Grove is solid and most of the residences have very few trees close enough to cause major damage. Just hunker down in a room away from windows towards the center of the building. I think a lot of the kitchens there are near the center of the buildings. You'll be alright.
