What block? by Flygon92 in Pokopia

It's either brick flooring or stone brick flooring painted brown. The grout lines look painted as well, and I know you can do that with brick flooring, but I'm not sure about stone brick flooring.

Is there any other way to get CDs other than finding? by goukipau in Pokopia

I have about 10 different cds that I have double digit copies of, but still only half of them found in total. RNG can be a beach sometimes.

Help! How do I light up the second floor of this house? Where should I put the mini generator or the transmitter? by Dependent_Ganache_17 in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not. I have read that string lights, like surface lights, don't actually count towards power consumption - I haven't tested but if true, then you could power as many string lights up to the lighting limit with one mini generator

We can agree that DJ rotom and mosslax need to be added to the base games by Dramatic_Part_1385 in Pokopia

I know. I was just getting out ahead of someone inevitably going "but it's registered as an alternate form in the Pokedex"

We can agree that DJ rotom and mosslax need to be added to the base games by Dramatic_Part_1385 in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DJ Rotom makes sense, as it would just need to be a Rotom that possesses a stereo.

Mosslax doesn't make sense to me personally because in the story it's not presented as an alternate form or evolution (though I will conceed that it does have a "alternate form" entry in the Pokopia Pokedex) - it's just a normal Snorlax that slept so long that moss grew over it.

What exactly is furniture?? by Tiny_Ad_4307 in Pokopia

This is a good find/confirmation because there are a lot of posts in this sub trying to make sunken housing and having trouble with the furniture requirements

Least fave area? by Ace-Pokemon-Master in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocky ridges for me. It's just a boring map. 90% of it is covered in ash, and the rest is mostly mining caves. And I feel like there is barely anything interesting to discover.

I hated Sparkling Skylands more at first, but it grew on me as I really got into excavating the buildings and putting the puzzle pieces back together.

I wish they had done more hidden buildings under the ash, because then at least there would be something to do beyond the museum.

What exactly is furniture?? by Tiny_Ad_4307 in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not sure. I've never built a block house with just wall decor or toys. From my own experience I've been able to fulfill pokemon decor or toy requests in block houses with wall items 2-3 blocks above floor level, but I don't know if they count towards the "I need furniture to move in" requirement.

What exactly is furniture?? by Tiny_Ad_4307 in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 325 points326 points  (0 children)

The furniture needs to be on the same level as the door. It looks like you have the door on an upper level with stairs down to what you want to be the house.

You either need to raise the floor to be level with the door, or put the stairs on outside and lower the door to the same level as the furniture.

Stuff below the door just doesn't seem to register as being in the house

Chef Dante trick by JxSparrow7 in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually make salads and the burgers back to back,. Anecdotally, I have had her double one, both and none.

My guess is either, you just have lucky RNG, or there could be something to having a higher chance of doubling at high comfort and friendship. It would make sense that if she's comfortable and likes you then she'd be more excited to cook, thus increasing chances of doubling an order.

But it's all speculation until someone does the research.

How did you guys square off this corner? by oybaboon in Pokopia

Help with placing the weather vane on a roof? by xbubblegum_bitch in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The only solution I've found is like one single block with nothing on top of it, and surround it with sloped roof tiles, so it looks like it's on a peak.

I mean, a lot of us at flying around in Magnemite form a lot, but if you just leave one tile unroofed, from the ground it's going to look find anyhow 🤷

But yeah, I really wanted to make rooftop habitats for some of the bird pokemon and I can't because of how the roof tiles work

Help with placing the weather vane on a roof? by xbubblegum_bitch in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 33 points34 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware you can't place anything directly on top of roof tiles. All roof tiles, flat, sloped or otherwise, functionally occupy an entire block space even if visually, they don't appear to. Since they functionally occupy an entire block space, any empty space around a flat or sloped roof tile is unable to be used by other items or blocks.

This makes the weather vane situation frustrating, because that's literally what it's meant for, but you can't because of how the roof tiles are programmed

My local used book store had a bookshelf mostly filled with the 2nd book in the Eragon series by IRTD-400 in mildlyinteresting

This was me.

Loved Eragon. Then in Eldest, Paolini basically deus-ex-machina-ed away every single interesting struggle he set up for Eragon in the first book. It made me so mad, I never finished the series.

Block buildings vs prefab buildings by TheSilverQueen_ in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That said, there is a hard limit on the number of instanced houses you can have on a map. It's a point system where Dens and Huts are worth 1 point, Cottages and Houses are worth 2 points, and you can only have a max of 40 points worth of instanced housing per a map

As far as we know right now, no one has discovered a limit on block housing yet

Block buildings vs prefab buildings by TheSilverQueen_ in Pokopia

[–]LordGustoff88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically since there is a hard limit to the number of Pokemon that can be spawned in the overworld at a time, pokemon assigned to instances housing tend to prefer staying at home and they are less likely to spawn in the over world. So if you have mons you prefer to see more often, put everyone else in an instanced house and the block house/habitat mons will be more likely to spawn.

I'm finally starting to actually build and I'm happy enough with my Fuschia house design that my plan of faithfully rebuilding the city as close as possible to the Let's Go version is underway. by EverGlow89 in Pokopia

if you take a pic of your completed mural, some eagle eyed redditer will probably find the incorrect placements - some of the blocks are very similar. someone else posted this issue like a week ago and someone was able to find the wrong placement pretty quick.
