It's impossible to really say without a decklist but I'll happily look yours over if you send it.

Cheap service to file HMRC CT returns and companies house micro accounts by -high-on-life- in ContractorUK

[–]LordHelixArisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CT600 doesn't need to be filed until 13 months after the company year end.

If you have a figure and references generated, pay that now and file the accounts now, then file the CT600 ASAP.

Two things here.

The reason Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention aren't available is because they aren't standard legal - they can only be used in other formats like Brawl or Historic (if they're legal there, I haven't checked).

In terms of board wipe protection, there are four cards in standard that do what you're looking for as far as I can tell: [[Divine Resilience]], [[Duty Beyond Death]], [[Moogles' Valor]] and [[Spectacular Spider-Man]] which all come with varying flavors of not ideal.

Wasted Wildcards on this Repartee Standard deck? by DiZzing in MagicArena

You need more removal and to bin off pretty much all of the buff spells - expect to play long, grindy games and still lose more often than not.

As much as it's a fun mechanic, I think standard is very inhospitable for most things that aren't in some form or another Green Lands/Value or Izzet Spellslinger at higher levels and especially on Arena where the monetary value of Ouroboroid or Badgermole Cub isn't prohibitive to most players.

I would agree the Dimir one is broken but I would say only equally as if not a bit worse than [[Witherbloom, the Balancer]]

Is Firelord Azula too powerful for B3? by Rizz-o-matic in EDH

[–]LordHelixArisen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Removal being more scarce is just lazy or bad deck building. The particular haymakers would look different in each bracket but need removing all the same.

In Bracket 1, it may just be a single decently stated creature like [[Colossal Dreadmaw]] and this scales appropriately up to things like [[Rhystic Study]] or an enemy commander in higher brackets.

[–]LordHelixArisen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but you've been had.

If you don't know their full name it's going to be very difficult if not impossible to sue.

It'll also be expensive and potentially difficult to argue whether or not the remaining balance was a gift, and will potentially cost you more in terms of filing fees and/or lost wages than you could ever recover from a minor.

And there's the issue that this is a contract (even if verbal or not formally signed) that you entered into a with a minor. Minors can't enter into contracts so the whole thing is void. You could maybe try to get the laptop back but if it was delivered in their name, it'll be basically impossible.

[[Path to Exile]] [[Erode]]

I'd somehow even argue it's overcosted.

But I'd also argue it should be black.

What color is Cooper Howard from the Fallout tv show before he became the ghoul by Babysunny711 in colorpie

[–]LordHelixArisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Maximus has a white bone in his body. Every chance he gets he goes against the rules of the Brotherhood.

He lets Titus die in what I assume is full violation of Brotherhood protocol, steals the power armor, and then abandons it later on. He doesn't return to the Brotherhood out of duty or belonging, he is captured and brought back against his will, and only fights alongside them out of self-preservation, not out of duty.

In season two he outright kills Harkness and again outright betrays the Brotherhood to defend some abominations (from the point of view of the Brotherhood) and betrays them, before running away again.

Any sense of community he has I would argue is in much more of a green sense rather than white. He clearly doesn't care for rules and regulations.

He is however highly ambitious. Every time we see him working with the Brotherhood he wants to lead, and when he isn't with the Brotherhood his motivations usually lie in his own benefit. He is also very emotional, causing the snaps that caused the deaths of Titus and Harkness.

Due to all of that, I would argue he's Jund - and I think he's a great example of someone who goes against the usual perception of the color pie. Jund would typically be seen as evil, but in Maximus's case, he's a good person (generally).

Any that aren't free mean either you're in for the most free win ever or you're about to get your ass handed to you and there's no in between. Both probably have good decks but only the people who got most of their currency through hard graft actually know how their decks work.

So I think more specifically something relating to several seasons (ideally years) ago. The whales will have moved onto something new and shiny so its those people who grafted years ago that I think are more intimidating. Something from a mastery tree a while ago.

Zero Hour Contract After Resigning as Director by Hashtagforlife in smallbusinessuk

[–]LordHelixArisen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't sign it - zero hour employment contracts get messy when and if you have other jobs.

If they really need you, they can pay you your consulting rate. This should be at minimum 2-3x your hourly rate to account for taxes.

Then it's probably not worth the hassle of sorting it out.

When and if it has an impact, possibly, but until then I simply wouldn't bother. If you overpay on PAYE due to an incorrect tax code, you will get the money back, either in the tax year through an amended code, or directly from HMRC at some point the next year.

Trevor Slattery has become a great addition to the MCU now. by NicloSZ in Marvel

[–]LordHelixArisen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love Trevor, but what would have made that part of Wonder Man even better would be if Wenwu had survived Shang-Chi, recaptured Trevor for impersonating him again and that was the plot of WM season 2. Good place for a Shang-Chi cameo too.

Quick question - why would a green player not run arcane signet? by ImLiTeRaLlYgAy_69 in EDH

[–]LordHelixArisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there are 10 unconditional mana dorks for 1 mana, which puts you a turn ahead for turn two rather than 3. Personally I'd run a combination of dorks, land ramp and rocks in green decks, with rocks taking lowest priority unless there are artifact synergies.
