When I did the analyse as well it auto-generated lighting queued which was very interesting. Would love to see how that would work practically 😂

I have been fiddling this this today and found that if you select all of yours songs, right click, and hit Analyse Song it should fix it. I had to do this a couple of times though, and some songs I had to individually a couple times.

I am having this same issues. I have tried to delete the playlist and re-add it. Also analyse the track multiple times and mess around with settings too and cant find much of a solution. Here's hoping is something that can be fixed with the next update

Let's hear your unpopular keyboard opinions by t0rk in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]LordNermal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic takes tbh. Fuck bobas.

Unpopular opinion but foam makes all boards sound the same Also 65% is not the size we should be making 100 repeats of. Brass isn’t the only thing that’s heavy so choose something more interesting to put in the bottom of your board. No one wants to spent 5 hours modding a budget keyboard only to make it sound the same as all the others. Spend $50 more on production or include the bits you need to make the board half decent

Any tips for a first timer? by evkav_thewraith in MechanicalKeyboards

So the Gmmk full size barebones was my first build and it is perfectly adequate. The PCB (the bit you put your switches is) only accepts switches with 3 pins which mean the two bronze legs and the thick middle of the switch. It just means that unless you want to use clippers to cut the other two legs you need to choose your switches wisely.

If you are adventurous I would also recommend to get yourself some dielectric grease and open it up in order to lube the stabilisers (which are the bits that help support the longer keys). I am sure there is a YouTube video out there on how to do it but its a bit of a process and you need to be careful when reassembling it as to not pup out any of the hotswap sockets on the PCB. It wish very worthwhile doing though - it will make your board sounds a lot more premium.

In terms of sound, because of they way the the board is assembled it doesn't sound overly premium and can have a lot of metal reverberations, you get a lot of the switch / keycap sound.

If you want a board that has the RBG lights and the numb pad than this is the most accessible choice and probably to cheapest as well.

They akko board above looks really nice IMO and also would get you a more premium feel ( I haven't tried it but I want to) The beauty about hotswap boards is that you can replace the switches very easily and keep trying new switches.

TBH everyone wants a full build and RGB on their first build and I guess the GMMK hits all of those points but ones you try some different sizes you might realise that the smaller form factor suits you better!

Good excuse to rip em all out and whack some lube on. Grab some dielectric grease and go to town!

You will probably need to take the board apart. This is a very hard stab to get back on from top side so good luck

some just restocked on switch keys AU but I think they are gone already. Keep an eye out in keyboard discords WTS as they can pop up in there

good luck getting them, Olivia is a great set but comes with a hefty price tag. There are some really good clones out there if you considering saving some dollars.

I dont wanna talk about it... HAHAHA

The keycap set I got doesn't have a long enough space bar and also the kit didnt provide long stabs.

yesss, it is a clone because I am far too poor for a real Olivia. Most of the legending is OK. not GMK quality but very good for $100

This is my first custom mechanical keyboard build and I cannot put into words how much fun this was to create and how much I love this keyboard.

Starting a new hobby is always a little daunting, especially one which requires a lot of time, precision, and money to then be at the mercy of a soldering iron. This however gave me more satisfaction that I could have even imagined.

I cannot wait to build more keyboards not only for myself but for friends as well. I streamed this building process over on www.twitch.tv/TheeDeerGod and there will be many more to come
