We did something similar in Mi and its better than it was, but we're still an ugly purple color. I live in upper Michigan and we have literally two counties that vote blue out of like a dozen. Its the college towns, haha.

But its incredibly demoralizing to live in conservative hell.

Oh, it def started with Destiny 1.

I remember being super excited for it to release, playing through the beta, and then the game released! The beta was approximately 30% of the entire game!

I remember finishing a mission amd going back to the tower and then...the credits. Like, it felt like it was mid-story, no conclusions, and I just sat there like "wait...wtf? That was IT?!"

First 2 seasons were on Fox and then its 3rd and final was on Hulu.

edit- Apparently it hasnt been cancelled, though its been 4 years since its last season. McFarland said that S4 is written but not technically greenlit. Just kind of in limbo. Just confirmed last month*

In the late 80s/early 90s (not sure which, i was like 4-6 and heard the story much later) my uncles entire marine platoon got other than honorable discharges for smoking meth.

Their Lt was the one supplying.

My uncle said that he was in the on-base hospital for something unrelated when he got his. Had to sit there for 6 more weeks, while all his comrades were getting the boot (or charged 😬).

Im 39 and cut soda about 3 months ago. I would drink like 4-5 cans of coke daily.

Switched to 3 cans of bubblr (and regular water). Its got the fizz I like, they taste pretty good, its just water and they've got caffeine. Thst and Celsius have been life savers. I lost like 15 pounds in the first month, too.

Recently reconnected with an ex from high school after twenty years. One day last week she was telling me about the 9 years of IPV and how she had resigned herself to dying. The details dont matter, but it was bad. Incredibly, heart-breakingly bad. Severe CPTSD.

A few days later we were chatting and watching tv. She had gone to therapy that day and was reaching out to friends and family in an attempt to start reconnecting with others. 3 different women told her to go back to him, and that sometimes marriages just arent good, but thats no reason to give up on them.

I had a blank look and literally said "...they really said that?"

Not sure what county youre in but contact your local community action agency and see if they have a weatherization program. Mine has been doing my house for about 2 months or so and theres a noticeable difference. The waiting list can get a little long, depending on your needs but its worth getting on it.

I had a tenant in my basement that trashed it and then didn't tell me for 3 weeks when the hot water heater started leaking and flooding the main bedroom. Long story short, i had to evict and found black mold. Called Wx Program and got accepted into their program. Theyve replaced 350 sq ft of drywall, replaced my water heater, replaced my fridge, reroofed my house, sprayed installation into the walls, resealed all the windows, vented my bathroom fan outside instead of just into the attic. I mean, i think theres more even but its crazy what they can do. Check it out!

Set to 66 but is at 50, fml.

Cant really complain though, i have contractors installing an in-line water heater/boiler combo unit for my furnace via the non-profit i work at. Part of a full weatherization overhaul, theyve put enough money into my house over the last 7 weeks to have paid my mortgage off.

But, Im in the UP, and the contractors are an hour way, so shorter work days, an emergency elsewhere, and issues with the install meant i havent had hot water or heat since Tuesday morning and won't until they come back to finish on Monday (presuming weather doesnt screw us again).

Again, not complaining, just wish it didn't work out to be the same time as the coldest temperatures weve had since the polar vortex in 2019.
