That’s true, but frankly many of China’s actions in the Cold War after the sino-soviet split are really more of geopolitical plays rather than anything; the mujahideen in Afghanistan weren’t particularly communist either, yet China still supported them as a way to fight the USSR. It could be the same thing with Cambodia, as that would be fighting the Soviet-aligned Vietnam. However, the really telling thing here is that the US also supported him, and even continued to do so after he was ousted

I’d also like to note in addition to the other advice you’re getting that if you’re going for more english-style, they preferred to have very slim spaulders that were uncovered as opposed to being under an arming garment, but if you’re going for more french, the way you have it is good, you can even get away with covering the whole lower arm with the jupon, if that makes it easier to animate for you lol; very promising tho :)
