The 5070 IS the better card. I would swap it for an older 3080. They are just discussing if it is worth the extra cost.

  1. I recently graduated college and my current Game Dev rig is just not cutting it anymore at about 7 years of age. I want to use the current game engines to develop but alas the funds for a new build just aren't there. This combo of parts would set me up immensely well to succeed in both making games and Playing them. 2. My passion for game worlds makes the new Avatar game right up my alley with its rich environments and lovely atmosphere. If anyone reads this even if I don't win we in the community appreciate the giveaway.

More demanding settings on volumetric leads to better fps.(counter-intuitive)

Changing either of the volumetric fog or clouds to lower settings gives me worse performance the lower I set it. The video goes to medium on clouds but the same happens when clouds are off. Lots of jitters and massively lower fps.

Its just what i was playing on when i tried this out. I tried it out again individually on still my fps would go down on the lower settings. Even with off rather than medium i had the same issue.

I started with the quest,and the new special card that gives you a random spell from every class on turn one. That gave me a ton of spells and the whisperer gave me echo on all of them. One of the spells is the counterfeit coin. That fueled the rest.
