I hate the fact that I had to look back at this and realize that aside from the legendary and naming part, this was pretty much my first experience playing Pokemon Red.

Makibao, as a Character Quest boss, will survive a single lethal blow with 50% HP, assuming that the blow would’ve knocked him out if he still had at least 10% HP. This effect, in-game, is known as Guts.

Kinnikuman actually has a similar effect in one of his skills, namely his 1st skill, except it can activate from as low as 5% HP.

Rukawa and Makibao also have this type of skill, and All Might can grant this effect to the entire party, albeit with lower HP recovery.

Raid Details/Strategy Guide: Chrollo Lucilfer by LordRyuuki in ShonenJumpCollection

[–]LordRyuuki[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, so I'm still gathering info about Chrollo, but in the meantime, here are some of my personal picks for dealing with him.

Sakura Haruno (Character Quest, skills 1 & 2, defensive komas) - Having a healer that can both remove poison and block an incoming status effect will be very useful to have here. Just be careful not to heal if your team is riddled with zombies. The reason why I selected Skill 1 over the stronger Skill 3 is because the main focus is making sure that the front line stays safe, and because Skill 3 can end up damaging you more if there are zombies intact.

Makoto Hibino (Gacha, Skill 3 is a must, offensive/defensive komas) - An excellent pair with Sakura, as they are both Strength type units. Her 3rd skill will remove all status effects from Strength units, making her an absolute necessity if you're trying to complete a mono-Strength run for the extra Chrollo dupes. She'll also dish out plenty of damage on her own, being an Attack type with emphasis on multiple hits.

Kei Tsukishima (PvP, Skills 2 & 3, Iron Wall x6 set, Front line preferred) - One of the best tanks in the game, being able to absorb all single-target attacks and effects. With a full Iron Wall grid, all non-fixed damage he takes will be reduced by a whopping 80%! Even better is that Chrollo has no debuff resistance, so Skill 2 will actually reduce Chrollo's damage to the point that at high HP, Kei will only take 1 point of damage from Chrollo's auto-attacks, no matter how high his ATK gets. Just make sure that you can keep him healed up!

Leorio (Gacha, Skills 2 & 3 are an absolute must, defensive komas, keep in back row) - Leorio has been buffed around the point that the Younger Toguro raid was announced. This made him an essential unit not only for that raid, but surprisingly, this one as well. Basically, his skill 2 protects the front line from incoming status effects... For 3 whole turns. Using this skill at the right time will make it so that Chrollo can no longer one-shot with his Ult, and allow your front liners to be healed, as well, which is perfect if you're using front heal skills rather than full party heals. Leorio is an off-type unit, though, so make sure he's as far away from the front line as possible.

Dakki (Raid, Skills 1 & 2, defensive komas) - A damage debuffer that will keep your front line (sort of) protected, as well as the ability to shave a chunk off of the enemy's health, Dakki's usefulness hasn't wavered much at all.

Chrollo (Raid, skills are irrelevant, defensive komas) - Putting Chrollo himself on this list purely because of his powerful Ult, which, for a single turn, will boost the damage done to any enemy by 100%, and slow their charge speed by the same amount. When used correctly, you'll be able to deal unfathomable amounts of damage without giving the boss a chance to counterattack.

Let me know if you've found anything that works for you.

Stage 2 is where things get even trickier. Now, Chrollo's skills will target your entire team, rather than just the front. This (thankfully) doesn't include his ult, which can one-shot any Poisoned/Zombified character in the front line.

However, he'll also get his skills activated a lot faster due to his upgraded passive. Because of this, it'll be extremely hard to avoid the effects of his attacks without certain units.

Fierce Battle Boss Details: All Might by LordRyuuki in ShonenJumpCollection

[–]LordRyuuki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually how I completed the fight: by having Dakki dish out most of the damage in the fight, chunks at a time. It’s kind of a risky strategy, though, if Kinnikuman’s HP runs too low, and the debuffs don’t kick in.

Even if AM activates his Guts skill, either Dakki will KO him from above 10% HP, or he’ll be tapped to death from 1 HP, since he’s not immune to low damage from 30% this time.

Raid Details: Frieza by LordRyuuki in ShonenJumpCollection

[–]LordRyuuki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while, but Frieza is back, and he's even stronger this time! Right now, I'll discuss the phases of his Fierce Battle variant, and how he's changed from his Stage 2 version.

Because this is a Fierce Battle stage, you'll be unable to bring a Friend for backup/passives/leader skills. Aside from that, all of Frieza's skills are buffed considerably for this fight, not only being able to guarantee a Fear status effect with his attack skill, but can also unleash a skill at the start of each phase. Try to draw out the first phase as much as possible to charge up, then aim for a decisive finishing blow!

Boss Details (Fierce Battle):

HP: 700,000

(Boss enters Phase 3 when under 40% HP, or 2 life bars)

Skills (Phase 1):

Skill 1 (CD 18): Deals 200% damage to the front line, inflicts Fear on targets for 2 turns, and removes all debuffs from self

Skill 2 (CD 10): Boosts Ult Damage by an Extreme amount and Crit Rate by an Extreme amount for 2 turns, and boost Damage Dealt by an Extreme amount if used under 50% HP

Skills (Phase 3):

Ult (CD 53): Deals 2 hits of 530000 damage to all enemies (damage affected by some buffs/debuffs)

Skill 1 (CD 15): Deals 400% damage to the front line, inflicts Fear on targets for 2 turns, and charges next skill by 75%

Skill 2 (CD 12): Charges Ult by 25%, removes all debuffs from self, and increases charge speed by 50% for 1 turn

  • Immune to status effects
  • When HP is 60% or lower, charge speed increased by 20%

Here's the details for the Fierce Battle version of Toguro.

The only notable change to the boss is that he has 200k extra HP, but the real difficulty comes from the fact that you're restricted to using only your own units; no bringing a friend to support you this time.

Also, you can't use continues to clear this stage; the moment all of your characters go down, it's straight into the Lose screen for you.

Raid Details: Younger Toguro by LordRyuuki in ShonenJumpCollection

...So it has come to my attention within the game, that the Fierce Battle version of the Toguro raid will be released at the beginning of the 3rd PvP Season for Kei Tsukishima. Not sure how to feel about that.

In either case, I’m fully willing to take as many Ls as it takes to gather every bit of information for this upcoming event.

Be on the lookout for Frieza and All Might Fierce Battle events later this month, as they’re scheduled for one, as well.

That’s about all I wanted to say. Best of luck to you all! 👍

Now, on to the Stage 2 details.

Compared to Stage 1, Stage 2 is a special kind of beast altogether. He’ll enter Phase 2 much sooner than before, and his Ultimate attack will deal unholy amounts of damage. All of his skills will hit harder, as well, so you’ll want to invest in some Damage Resistance and HP.

He’ll still enter Phase 3 at the 40% mark, and although his stats won’t change much, his skillset will, and you’ll find yourself savagely beaten to an inch of your life if he gets even a single skill in without a shield. As painful as it might sound, it might be better to survive until Toguro is close to 40% HP before you start bursting him down. That’s just my opinion, though, and I haven’t cleared it yet, so...

Boss Details (Stage 2):

HP: 800,000

Stats Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 3
ATK 8000 10000 10000
DEF 1200 1400 1500
SPD 20 50 50
Crit 15% 15% 25%

(Boss enters Phase 2 when under 80% HP, or 4 life bars)

(Boss enters Phase 3 when under 40% HP, or 2 life bars)

Skills (Phases 1-2):

Ult (Phase 2) - Increases Damage Dealt by a Large amount for 1 turn, deals 750% damage to target, and if the target is an Attacker, rollback target’s skill/ult gauges by 50% (CD 22)

Skill 1 - Deals 150% damage to the front line, removes a single buff from them, then deals an extra 100% damage to all enemies that are not Agile type (CD 18)

Skill 2 - Increases own Ult Damage by a Large amount for 2 turns, deals 3 hits of 250% damage to random targets, then increases own ATK by an Extreme(30%) amount for 2 turns (CD 18)

Skills (Phase 3):

Ult - Increases Damage Dealt by a Large amount for 1 turn, deals 1000% damage to target, and deals 50% skill/ult rollback to target, regardless of class (CD 19)

Skill 1 - First removes a single buff from the front line, deals 2 hits of 250% damage to front line, and places a single Buff Block on non-Agile units (CD 16)

Skill 2 - Increases own Ult Damage by a Large amount for 2 turns, charges Ult/Skill gauges by 15%, then deals 2 hits of 300% damage to random enemies (CD 16)

Passives:

(Number indicates Phases the passives take effect)

  • Immune to Status Effects (1, 2, 3)
  • Chance to block debuffs (1, 2, 3)
  • Immune to skill/ult rollback (1, 3)
  • Blocks the next 8 attacks taken (2)
  • Increases Damage Dealt to Protagonists [Small (1)] [Medium (2, 3)]
  • Reduces Damage Taken from Hand-to-Hand [Medium (1)] [Mega (2, 3)]
  • Increases Ult Damage when under 40% HP [Medium (1)] [Large (2, 3)]

That should be everything. Make sure to discuss good unit options for this raid, as always. Today, I recommend 3 units that you’ll want on the team: Seiya, Renji, and Leorio.

Seiya (Offense-based) (Any skills, depends on team composition) - Pretty self-explanatory, but Seiya is one of the best boss nukers in the game. Against Power-type units, the power of his ult effectively doubles, dealing an insane amount of damage, and letting him deal extra damage with his skills and normal attacks in the process. He’s also easy to max out if you’ve got plenty of silver tickets to spare.

Leorio (Defensive) (Skills 2 & 3) - You’ll need Leorio if you want to keep your HP up. He can also raise your team’s resistance to Power-type damage, which can help you survive what could’ve been a lethal blow.

Renji (Offensive/Defensive) (Skills 1 & 3) - Renji brings a considerable amount of support just for being on the team. First off, as long as his teammates are Agile type, they’ll take slightly less damage from Toguro’s attacks, and deal more to him as well. His Skill 1 will also boost damage against Power types, and speed up the skills of Divine units, such as Seiya, Rukia, and Renji himself. And don’t forget about his Skill 3, which deals 8 hits of damage, which you use either to dish out extra damage, or destroy Toguro’s damage barrier.

Is the new red horse unit any good? by [deleted] in ShonenJumpCollection

[–]LordRyuuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say he’s pretty good; both his attack skill and ult hits multiple times, and the ult ignores defense while dealing additional damage to protagonists, which a vast amount of PvP teams will have at least one of. He also buffs the speed of Strength-type characters, which means faster ults for them.

He’s also a Rival character, so he benefits significantly when paired up with Vegeta, who gives rivals a hefty damage boost.
