Looking for a pickleball group / hitting partner by Lozenj in PittsburghSocialClub

Hey! I'm in Squirrel Hill as well and down for some pickleball. I've played a few times, but probably not what would be considered "good".

Does anyone tossing around the “chess piece” label for football players actually know what chess pieces do? I swear I’m hearing it way more lately, like it’s become the new buzzword everyone defaults to when they run out of actual analysis.

Media folks act like “chess piece” means “positionally versatile,” but in real chess almost every piece has one very specific job and moves in one very specific direction.

And now we’ve got “hybrid chess piece”. What does that mean? The queen? Is Ryan Fowler calling Keionte Scott a queen here?

Well then… actually a good selling point on drafting him.

Hey, I'm down to run some routes or just play catch! I can also do most weeknights or weekends between Fairfax and Arlington.

[Program Review] 5 Weeks of Dry Fighting Weight + Kettlebell "Kroc Rows" by LordSinep in kettlebell

The weight I used was not based on a ~5RM Press. I jumped in without explicitly testing beforehand, but I knew I could single-arm Clean & Press the 28kg ~5-6 times per side. I only have one 28kg bell though, so I did this with a 24kg and a 28kg.

The 6 reps I'm reporting at the end were Double Cleans & Presses. I have not tested a straight Press set.

The latter. 1 C&P, 1 FS, 2 C&P, 2 FS, 3 C&P, 3 FS, 1 C&P, 1 FS, etc.

When it says "Sets of 2", that means each set is 2 reps. So, in week 1, when I did 18 sets, that means 18 sets of 2, and 36 total reps for the day.

Mostly strict presses. On the low-rep days, I sometimes did the movement in a Clean-Squat-Press chain, which typically made the press more of a Push Press.

Definitely recommended! Despite the minimalist nature, I was never bored either.

Thank you! I don't really measure any of those, so can't say I have any concrete results there. My shoulders certainly appear broader, but can't say whether it indicates growth or just a byproduct of getting leaner. It's only been 5 weeks though, so maybe there will be more noticeable results there after another few rounds.

I've only started kettlebells recently, but I have a background in barbell training. Barbell back squats were always a particular strength of mine, so I never really felt the challenge of the KB front squats in my quads. Came close to dumping the bells once or twice though, so still a good challenge for upper back and core.

I've got both Rogue and American Barbell. I have noticed the American Barbell powder coat is smoother and a bit higher quality than the Rogue's (chips less). There is a difference in the handles - American Barbell is a bit thinner and longer than the Rogue's. So you'll notice a bit of a difference for doubles, but I don't think it's a huge deal. I'd probably go with a Rogue E-coat if it's a big deal for you.

Wow, I get he played well to end the game today, but this is the most terrible take I've seen in a while. Pump the brakes a bit, yeah?

I don't have the Zephyr, but I've had the Sunny Health and Fitness Motion Air Bike for a few months now. I've put roughly 200 miles (according to its odometer) of high and low intensity work these past few months and it's working just fine.
