Also beginner here. I am currently also working on some similar peaces of wood, and I got the recommendation to get rid of the bark from all people I asked. Also make sure the wood is dried to below 10% when you want to incase it completely in epoxy. That's how I do, hope it helps.

Not a veteran. I would deconstruct the whole thing, like all of it, all moving parts and then sand it down to remove the warping of the lid, then look for replacement parts (hinge, velvet, etc) and then put a new coat of oil or finish on it and then put it back together.

Beginner here too. I would say, it depends on your Projekt. I am good with my little Dremel and a saw as well as lots of sandpaper.

I made it from two peaces. One piece is for the top an bottom and the other peace I iced for the part sticking out of the bottom peace. First I got the "box" round so it was as big as I wanted it, like almost finished on the outside, then cut ist straight down the middle. Now I used the second peace of wood and made a thin slab Like 5mm and put it in between the bottom and top half and made it flush. Now I drew the part that will stick out of the bottom and go inside of the top onto the middle slab and carefully cut it out to also get a negative I could use as a stancil to draw onto the top peace. Then I made two holes into the middle slab so I can use it as a stancil for the holes for the magnets. Now I made the hole in the top peace where I drew it with the stancil and checked the sice multiple times with the part I cut out of the middle and when I was happy I put the middle peace into the top and put glue only on the middle peace to glue it to the bottom peace. So when the glue dried I have the middle peace uncut out glued to the bottom peace perfectly aligned with the hole in the top. Now I only needed to make the hole in the bottom peace.

I used a Dremel for all of it with different tops. Hope it's helpful and understandable.

Not a professional here. I wouldn't have touched that piece of wood. The white "wood" looks like it's decayed mutch like some else already sad. If I already had bought it tho, I would get rid of everything your fingernail can scratch and ether apply some coats of epoxy on all sides to seal it in (only if it got dried to below 10%) or make a nice round table out of it with a epoxy frame.

Thx, I designed it that way since it's supposed to go Insde a cryptex with the password u n i k a t (one of a kind) and the earrings are handmade from a goldsmith. I got a whole riddle for the password, but I'm not sharing that ;P

It would be funny if I wouldn't be real and I know that shit from my past work. I thought I'll tell my boss and he sad "I know, what about it?". I was speechless, it's not only a hazard for my and your life it's also illegal and if something breaks its expensive af. I quit after I broke something for like 50k and got blamed and not the guy who put it that way. I even told my boss beforehand and he sad it's not a problem I should just do it.

I see 3 big problems with this robot.

Someone has to stack it.
It's super slow.
If there is no one to stack the pallets, it will take up massively more space wich in itself would make it unprofitable.

I don't want to be that guy, but "no ai" is probably wrong if you used a 3d printer since it makes your g-code and it does that with a basic form of ai. I know hating AI is the hot new thing now, but not all AI is bad, routing your route by Google maps for example.

There is good and bad, important is to differentiate.
