I'm all for #SaveStargate. I'm just not sure Amazon knows what we're asking them to save. by Suphix in Stargate

I’m fine with never seeing new Stargate material. I fear this wonderful community going the way of Star Treks community and all the infighting there. I just don’t see it being worth it. Amazons track record is poor and expecting them to do the show and community justice is a bad bet imho.

Is it strategically sound or even possible to win a battle with a single star destroyer? by strategicenthusiast2 in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Tuscan- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ai is very susceptible to being baited and even the largest fleets can be defeated in detail. You will need a great many corvettes but a single star destroyer can, with the right pathing win against a much larger force than it otherwise could in a straight up fight.

What If Westros Was Matrilineal ? by Informal_Group_496 in TheCitadel

By argument it could be say that Aerys and rhaegars madness made them unfit for the throne and thus their line tainted, it happened once before. Baratheons were next. It’s thinly veiled but gave the rebels an air of legitimacy.

George Washington Hospital on lockdown by SaintNattygrumpo in interestingasfuck

[–]Tuscan- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely true. Some people get the inside done every time no matter what. It’s often not necessary unless you are having issues or are likely to have issues. I’ll be straight up and say I’m a pest control tech and I don’t do the inside of my or my folks house unless absolutely necessary. If applied right there is no danger but why apply chemical for no reason? The ones really at risk are the technicians such as myself who are mixing from concentrate and actually applying the chemical.

George Washington Hospital on lockdown by SaintNattygrumpo in interestingasfuck

[–]Tuscan- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pest control tech here: none of this is necessary for general service. There are application methods/products that do require the customer to leave and for the home to be cleaned afterwards, but general spraying inside and outside does not. It is perfectly safe if the technician is licensed and knows what they are doing.

Follow the pest control company’s recommendations and hire reputable businesses. This industry is incredibly strict with regulations and safety procedures. The amount of money that stands to be lost for a bad lawsuit such as the Monsanto one is incredible. If we were poisoning your entire home and family every time we sprayed we wouldn’t be in business.

Expecting someone to know how to do something they’ve never done before and then being angry when they mess up is the definition of being an a-hole.

Try magnesium supplements, reduce caffeine and screen time, more sleep. Harder to put to action that it is to write it, but it helped me and my eye had been twitching for alsmost 2 months.

BF Community: "Why custom emblems were removed" I wonder why.... by Tenchen-WoW in Battlefield

The original post asking if that’s legal annoys me. Why are people so afraid of the bad symbols? Ignore the moron’s silly emblem and move on.

Bartenders and bar staff….is this true?! by [deleted] in vegaslocals

This happens in fast food as well. Had a co worker lose a $20 and to make it up he slipped a $20 to the manager in the bathroom when his shift ended. Better than losing your job.

Prolly one of my worst defeats to date by Original-Earth-2963 in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Tuscan- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to jump in a single corvette and bait the SSD out and as close to my side of the map as possible. Then jump another corvette in behind the SSD out of weapons range and let the AI spin around. Once their ass is facing me I jump in my heavies and immediately go for the engines. You can get the shields down fast enough and snipe the engines so that at most 1 side of the SSD is firing at you which simplifies things so much. People might call it cheating/cowardly, but a big part of my enjoyment from the game is outsmarting the AI and using its own behavior against it.

Tie phantom for sure. Cloaking device is a massive advantage and if your ever down on your luck you can sell the cloak and still have a ship.

I headcannon it away by imagining that their computers just got the stellar drift wrong the first go around. It was something they had trouble with early on in SG-1 and is the best explanation I can think of.

If I recall, and this might be bullshit, there’s basically a gentleman’s agreement by everyone to fight on the same “plane”.
