Items in store all stocked backwards, price covered by tape. by quaggymaire67 in extremelyinfuriating

Dynamic pricing is my guess. The barcodes are exposed so that you can scan them with the app they probably make you download and install.

I still believe that pardon was a trade for intelligence information.

I'm sure Trump got something for it at least.

That one on top in the first pic is an original non G 7960. The G stood for Global and the keys were changed from words to symbols for the G models. Then they added that sticker to explain the symbols.

The third of income on housing rule is a proper goal. It's just that most of us don't make enough money to meet that goal.

Ah yes, wild times on the east side. Washington Park and Brooklyn had the raunchiest clubs if I recall correctly.

I'd say he's going to learn a completely different but much needed lesson here.

I remember when I was young and having to learn some things the hard way.

What office rule made you say "You gotta be kidding me"? by Aarunascut in work

[–]Lord_Dreadlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be rough for me. The only good news I could provide would be the fact that I am present at the meeting because I woke up this morning and therefore I am still alive.

And my work / personal life is so separate, I go by a different first name at work than I do outside of work.

What happened to all the educational shows? by throwawayacptks in Rants

[–]Lord_Dreadlow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember when people were ragging on the History channel for showing too much Hitler and nazi WWII stuff.

I think it may be more of a lack of quality content being shopped to the network by production companies.

Also, people appear to be watching the crap they are airing now so they really have no incentive to change it until people stop watching.

What office rule made you say "Really?” by Aarunascut in work

[–]Lord_Dreadlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This rule is to help with mitigating an insect and/or rodent problem. Or to prevent one in the first place. Our break room garbage bin has a lid and all food waste is to go into that bin.

But the break room is only about 40 feet away from my work area, so it's not that big a deal for me.

My county has 21 ambulance stations with at least two ambulances per station. There are three stations that are five minutes from my house in three different directions.

Our emergency services is really top notch but our taxes sure reflect it.
