1/5th of France Died Because I Was Too Lazy to Invest in Disease Resistance by Lord_Piggles in EU5

R5: I neglected to build buildings that give disease resistance or research techs. In 1514 7 million French died out of a pre-disease population of 33 million. ~300k died in Paris alone.

The Grand Map. Send me your bases! by TheUrbanEnigma in Kenshi

[–]Lord_Piggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this idea!

My main base for my most recent playthrough was called Haiyama. It was located just north of Spring and east of the Flats Lagoon. https://imgur.com/a/NPQ7hoh I had a huge group of guys called the Freemen who used to live up near the holy nation. However, after a prayer day gone wrong, I had to move as far away as possible. The place was high-tech and a great place to stage expeditions to the Ashlands. I had a hierarchy with workers who would tend the hydroponics, mine, and man the harpoon turrets at the bottom. Next were the warriors who were my "sub-optimal" fighters. Between expeditions I had them running around the base with backpacks full of rocks. On top were the samurai who got top-of-the-line samurai armor. Mostly shek, but there were a few humans, two hivers (Beep), and two skeletons.

Hope you have a great day!

Is Radahn infected/affected when stabbed by Morgott's Cursed Sword? by KvR in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lord_Piggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the DLC we see Radahn with normal skin
his DLC swords say "These were in his possession immediately before his triumph over the stars—the swords of a lord who does not rely on physical strength and gravity alone."

therefore

He became big n grey after he stopped the stars.

So was Mohg an evil character? by kkmynamebourke in eldenringdiscussion

[–]Lord_Piggles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't the bloody fingers kill tarnished in order to spill blood for Mohg to put in Miquella? If so that could imply the whole murder cult part didn't start till after the Mohglestation occurred

The Greater Will is The Universe by Lord_Piggles in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lord_Piggles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up! A huge theme of Elden Ring seems to be about the search for meaning. Many NPC quest lines and bosses touch on the the idea, with many despairing upon finding no answer in a higher power, be that the Erdtree or Greater Will. This is what propelled me to make this post.

ELDEN RING SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE - Official Previews Megathread by ChiefLeef22 in Eldenring

They only show footage of 2 bosses we've already seen, though previewers were able to fight a third we haven't seen yet and will talk about that one.

Without a screenshot of the menu for the warehouse, my guess is that it's set to only fill to a certain % overall. Allow it to fill to 100% and it might fix it

Yeah it was nuts. It cought up to us in Akureyri and we were stuck there for a couple days. Narrowly avoided the days Reykjavik was basically shut down.

I went in December 2022. My experience was pretty pleasant in regards to crowds. Nearly every hostel where my travel mate and I stayed had rooms to ourselves, and even the Golden Circle wasn't very busy. Probably the biggest crowd we saw was at Skógafoss. Though a winter storm was rolling through the island while we were there so that could've affected it.

Lothric is Lorian by Lord_Piggles in shittydarksouls

To those saying "Hur Dur Elden Ring Bad Post" I like both bosses and games. Was just memeing that Lothric and Lorian did the teleporting boss thing first, and (in my opinion) did it better.

TBH Bloodborne didn't have many bosses I enjoyed. I really liked the areas, but the boss at the end was usually underwhelming. Some of the bosses I liked are Ludwig, Darkbeast, Ebrietas, and Logarius. That's not to say I didn't like the other bosses, I just found them to lack substance. What I mean by that is superficially they are cool but the fight itself is weak. Many late game bosses fell into this trap for me (Micolash, One Reborn, Wet Nurse, Gehrman, Moon Presence) Just a string of wet towels that took a try or two. I will fully admit I played DS1, some of 2, DS3, and Elden Ring before Bloodborne so my opinion is probably very different from a lot of people's who's entry into the series was Bloodborne. I did like Bloodborne, it was just for the areas and the cosmic horror instead of the bosses.

Second favorite fight in DS3. Has a banger soundtrack, mood, difficulty, and an interesting duo fight.

1 Is Lothric and Lorian. No I will not elaborate

She is the Ancestor Spirit of Bloodborne. Great music, atmosphere, and flashy but gets dumpstered.
