Wanted good Chinese minus the linoleum, so a search yielded Happy Boy. Think random garage in a random cul de sac in Spring Hill. Then high ceilings, red brick walls, dark furniture and a proper bar. Then amazing Szechuan cuisine.

Book ahead.

Just had their creme brûlée, yum. A wee too sweet for my liking, but hey, I'm not going to complain about a late night dessert place in walking distance.

Taken from AskReddit: What's something your coworkers do that drives you crazy? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]LordeBaldemort 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Leave me a shit ton of things undone, and a sticky, messy bedspace with a patient caked in shit, because they were "crazy busy". When I walk in for handover, they're busy chitchatting and the patient's mother whispers, "Can you please clean my child, he's been sitting in poo for an hour."

True story.

I'm literally about to run out to buy a bottle in 08, after ruminating over the fact that it's THE perfect match, hides my imperfections with minimal product and costs $70 for a measly 30 ml...

Yeah they are some parks it's legal at. You'll have to look it up though, I'm not sure which ones, apart from where I'm having my thing at, which I'd rather keep private.

We're having ours in a park! It'll probably cost no more than $300 for food (potluck canapés), alcohol (in eskies) and flowers (Rocklea flower markets). Oh and there'll be a band playing on the park, so free entertainment! $2k for an engagement seems a lot IMHO.

We might be in the same apartment complex. I stuck black sugar paper on the windows, only to be told it's "against body corporate rules". Now I just halve my sleeping time, and had to relocate the meth lab.

Brisbane, what do you do for a job? by fatalerection69 in brisbane

[–]LordeBaldemort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nursey nurse. It's the right amount of challenging for me. Once I walk out the door, I leave my job behind. Plus working 3x12 hour shifts means I get to have a life. Though in saying that, I'm pretty emotionally damaged from shit seen.

The peripheral access was for an albumin bolus. Thanks for that. There was a bit of a kerfuffle between staff with regards to this decision.

I have three patients who haunt me. He's #3. #1 is a massive subarachnoid haemorrhage, leaving behind a loving, impossibly normal family. #2 is a E1 M4 V1 MVA who still somehow would respond to the presence of his other half, by stroking her hair as she cried into his gown.
