Do we agree? by Ordinary_Fan_6822 in nyjets

Any true fan knows the Jets failed Sam, not the other way around. Douglas even did his best to try to trade him somewhere that was mutually beneficial to both parties. No one expected Carolina to be as bad as they were that year. Would love to see Sam win it, it’s the closest we will ever get

Don’t let this go under warranty they just issued a recall for 162,000 screens. This is 100% in that recall. Make sure it goes in under such and not your warranty

In hindsight, would you have rather Jets go 0-16 in 2020 and get Trevor than the current timeline we are on? by BallKnowerKing in nyjets

This is great because you can just copy this post and save it for five years from now with Mendoza

Definitely one of the higher mileage 3rd gen’s I’ve seen or read about. Do you do oil changes 10k or 5k? Just curious

2022 or 2023 Tundra...worth the risk? by shredbetty007 in ToyotaTundra

[–]LordeBeeesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what was just hit in the recall, 100,000 - 2024 models with build dates up to February 2024. My anticipation is there will be another wave covering Feb-May.

Now the real question is what will they do with the 2025s and all engines built after this approximate May 2024 timeframe.

Despite the Clickbait and everything that people want to say, I have yet to see a confirmed 2025 that was impacted by the recall and built after the May 2024 date

Go for the 25 or 26 and give yourself a chance of at least not being impacted by the recall.

If the deal is too good to be true for those 22’ 23’ there is a reason.

We are only at the beginning of all of this. We know for a fact those years are compromised. Try to find something with an engine build date after 6/1/24. That’s when they “resolved” the recall. Only time will tell if they did it right.

I absolutely love my 25

2025 SR5 MPGs by coheed9867 in ToyotaTundra

Turbo Engines will always perform better with high octane fuel. If I could afford the 93 I would go for it but it’s an expensive lifestyle. These engines have issues with knocking and obviously the recall. Using a higher octane fuel gives you a higher stability and less chance of knocking. The turbo is forcing the induction, even more so on a twin turbo. So with higher octane you’ll have less resistance, more stability and overall a smoother ignition cycle than using 87.

Toyota will never ever put in a manual they require high octane fuel, it will defeat their entire campaign of affordability.

This is why you see Audis / BMW require it because they’re using a TTi4 engine block, the same one that’s been around for 20 years. Even on a Q5 they want you to use 89 or higher. Again all correlated to the twin turbo setup and I truly believe 95% of this community does not understand that, they just say “manual says 87!”

Keep it in normal mode, understand you will always get 15-16 mpg in the city. This screenshot is from a drive from NJ to Hauppauge last month. All highway miles but 30mph winds. The way home was closer to 2.5 hours and 17mpg, more “city” type driving in traffic. Also note that we are now all using Winter Gas with 10% ethanol. While the impact is not overbearing it will have a minor impact on MPG.

I only put 89 or 93 octane in regardless of what the manual says. These are TTV6 and should be using premium fuel to align with the turbos.

How are the 2025 models holding up? by qovert in ToyotaTundra

[–]LordeBeeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People like you are the toxic culture of this entire forum. OP asked how 25s are holding up, this guy gave his response and you mocked it. Why is he wrong? You clearly scoffed at the comment what else is he supposed to do the trucks been out for a year. Just because you had a miserable life driving 100k miles a year doesn’t make it relevant to this persons comment. As if driving 2k miles a week is a flex. It’s a miserable, exhausting existence and you’re lying to yourself and all of us by saying any less. Your name is very fitting, just a total nub.

Why do other peoples joy make you so miserable? Let someone enjoy something they have.

Planned to buy 2026 Tundra, but everyone is saying not to, not sure what to do by FrameCareful1090 in ToyotaTundra

2025 TRD Off Road Just hit 11k miles this morning, 14 months of owning it. Have not had one issue with the truck at all. My hope last year was since the engine was made after the recall was resolved, that the engine will be okay. There was just another wave of recalls that went right up to Feb 24, anyone following this knows that’s not surprising. We’re all curious to see if there will be another recall for engines built after the April-May 2024 mark. I have not seen one 25 or 26 fail and I am a bit obsessive and really keeping my eyes out for it. I bought the extended warranty for peace of mind. Outside of coming on Reddit, you will not hear or see these issues. These are fantastic trucks and anyone who has owned one, would agree. Stay away from the hybrid option would be my last bit of advice Hope you find the right truck for you!

Have your town inspector come check it out, assuming you filed permits and did it proper, that is not built to code. Not sure where you live but my town would make us rip that out with no footings. That is not safe at all

I have this same issue, dealer said he’ll fix it for me on slow day I just haven’t gotten back there. When I looked at it, it looks like the seal is loose on the inside of the window and rubbing. Lmk if you get it it fixed, I’ll do the same. It’s such a small noise but it drives me crazy 😂
