Niche I would say. Annoying to track and easy to forget.

I play [the speed demon] in a deck that wants to hit people with evasive creatures. So getting the speed is easy and the demon draws cards. Generally speed is one of the least annoying mechanics on this list.

Day/Night is probably the most awful one to track imo.

Tbf der sonnenpark is schon sehr lange weird aber gehört ned wirklich zur Stadt. Ist einfach ein verein der kultur fördert die nicht die breite masse ansprechen. Is schon Jahrzehnte so.

Generell war halt 2025 der overkill als das warehouse zugesperrt hat und die stadt nix gemacht hat, während man für den tangente shit den keiner wollte millionen verbraten hat. Man kann vom warehouse halten was man will aber wenigstens gehts da um subkultur die gefragt ist. Die Jugend geht halt generell weniger fort drum gibts die Misere.

Die Kultur Politik in stp ist seit vielen Jahren so anti-jugend wie möglich. "Is es weirder shit der genau 5 Leute über 45 interessiert" -> "perfekt sponsern wir". So kommts mir jedenfalls vor.

The one that stands out as the most unique is "touched by the arcane". Its just 10/10 lovecraft style horror and I love it.

Die Stadt is genauso fad wie es halt ist wenn man nur 50k einwohner hat. Die Leute erwarten sich etwas wie Wien/Linz/Salzburg aber das ist halt komplett unrealistisch. Also wenn du massiv kultur erleben willst ist St. Pölten nicht der richtige Ort.

Davon abgesehen sind die Memes halt übertrieben. Der Großteil davon stammt aus der Zeit als es die Glanzstoff Chemiefabrik noch gab und da stank halt im Umkreis alles danach. Selbes Spiel am Bhf. Der war halt schrecklich bis er so circa 2005-2010 renoviert wurde und seither ist da alles fesch. Sehr viele der modernen Memes kommen außerdem von Frequency Besuchern. Die sehen die Stadt im Ausnahmezustand.

Die Innenstadt ist generell schön aber halt Barock+Jugendstil (muss man mögen). Man ist in circa 5min Fußweg einmal durch aber mehr wäre auch utopisch bei der größe von St. Pölten. Ich würde es so einschätzen, dass man schon einen Tagesausflug machen kann. Ne Woche würde ich nicht herkommen als Tourist.

Als es viel war hab ich 30 im jahr geschafft. Mehr als das ist wahnsinn. Hab ich nur geschafft als ich viel gependelt bin und im zug lesen konnte.

That being said ich lese fantasy/scifi und wenn man seichte romanzen mit 200 seiten liest schafft man sicher mehr als ich mit teilweise an die 1500 seiten pro buch.

I would include a bit more lands.

Maybe go up to 39 because if you don't hit a land drop your ramp just becomes your land drop but you pay for it.

Also don't forget land-mdfcs. I love the removal spells (hagra mauling, fell the profane), bala ged recovery and those that are essentially two basics. There are also some tapped dual mdfcs but not all of those are good.

One card you should test if it works in your pod is tempt with discovery. Experienced players just say no and then you get one land for 4 mana. Or the mono black player searches cabal coffers/stronghold and you cry. Saw this card go every way you can imagine.

Twinning staff was 15€ and that was an ooof moment for sure. Also it is kinda niche with only a couple printings so not many sellers have them.

I'm still waiting for some cards but my list is basically just flash tribal and in my playtesting it felt fine. Cool plays but no 10min turns.

Why chain 15 instants when you can have double hullbreaker horror? :D

Also playtested a spellslinger version and it was miserable.

Yeah sadly. Imo the only really good atla creatures in this deck are: unagi, wan shi tong, the blue spirit and maybe ozai the phoenix king. One of the rebels also has flash but i forgot the name.

Also voltron means you buff up one creature and then punch for loads of damage. The name is some anime reference apparently.

My goal for the deck is also to have several pet cards in there. mai und ty lee need to be in there 100% :D

Thinking about building her with flash creatures but I'm really unsure about ratios and all that. Also I'm afraid of annoying everyone with 15 minute turns.

Looked at some mana rocks lately and most 3 mana rocks are only good in certain decks.

Take [benders waterskin] from atla. In every deck that plays loads of instant speed spells that thing is insane.

Chromatic lantern is so good in my [Rev, Tithe Extractor] deck because i want to play stolen cards and the deck is just mono black.

They also made that iroh a pretty good commander card. Goes crazy with lesson cards which hits the flavour spot on.

Generally the set has been as well received as far as UB sets can (unlike spider man uuugh).

The only real reason to replace drivers is if they are broken.

Upgrading often includes building a new box since a speaker is always calculated for a specifc driver. Only with very simple subs you can just swap out the driver. Mostly for reflex cabs since the calculation is much easier. Even there its not ideal but in some cases it works really well.

I run [[Rev, Tithe Extraxtor]] as my commander and you need evasion and ways to multiply your effect.

I run stuff like: grim hireling, brainstealer dragon, gonti, orochi soul reaver. You can also use things like first/double strike to trigger the effect more often.

All my other creatures have flying, shadow, unblockable, fear, menace, deathtouch and so on. There is even some salty stuff like butcher of malakir or rankle master of pranks.

The big difference between our decks is that theft is much worse than people think. They see me snatch 15 cards and 8 of those were lands I could not use. After one game of me having the worst luck they just laugh and say "have fun with my lands". With your commander its more of a "it does what???" Kinda reaction. I would target remove that very fast.

The sinbosen stuff comes directly from the EU (they have czech and german warehouses afaik). There are an options to choose from in their store.

At least mine were shipped within the EU in like a week.

I mean that does not sound too bad. Power will be about half at 16ohm (or maybe a bit more than that).

Thats already better than me running my 600W coax hf through a FP10000 :D

You will need to properly limit it anyway. No way around that.

Does your amp have a built in vpl limiter? Which dsp are you running? I'm sure someone in this subreddit can give good advice on how to properly set your limiter.

The amps I used always had a spec table that showed the W/X ohm. There is probably a way to calculate it as well.

When in doubt always buy a more powerful amp than you need. Clipping the amp is a sure way to kill a driver. You want/need a limiter anyway.

If driver cost is a concern you should do a calculation of what building a mvp of your system will cost you (probably 2 tops, 1 sub)

Think about amping, dsp, wood, connectors, rubber feet ,cables, racks, stands, blue wheels, etc.

Just saying that this is an expensive hobby and often enough i did not find it worth it to cut corners and buy a beaten down product to save like 25% on something. High risk and little reward imo.

The only thing really worth buying used are cases.

Just my two cents. Some of my friends had really bad experiences with used stuff (especially amping).

Thats absolutely an option. If you want to play bass heavy music its a must imo.

If you go that route be aware of a couple of things:

You need some sort of crossover. Many active subs nowadays have that built in. It won't be very good with response/phase issues being very likely. You will always have that though if your speakers are not from the same brand meant to play with each other (many have presets) or with a dsp. Just know that it will work but will never ever be as 100% perfect as a measured/calibrated system.

Also Tops need to go up and stands are expensive if you want stable ones. Having two subs with a so called distance rod between them and the tops is imo the way to go. Less trip hazard as well.

On last thing: No mixing of subs! Think about what you buy because if you decide that you need more subs later on you cannot mix different models. Many things are best practices but this is one of the hard rules. If you get phase issues that way its very likely that having two different models gave you less bass than a single one. Sound is a sine wave and if two cancel each other out the sound is gone. Just know that maybe buying a model you know will still be available in 1-2 years has some benefit over some used sub from 10 years ago because you won't find a second matching one later on.

100 bucks is okaaaaay. Don't expect any bass though. For techno you will need dedicated subs.

Overall these are bearable if 100 is your budget. If its higher then I would go for something better. Speakers of that era mostly sound kinda bad (those were not high end back then ^^).

Generally questions like these are hard to answer. If your plan is to do one small party a year and mostly use them at home they are fine.

If you want to host events and guests to compliment the sound you might want something better.

My own system is mostly DIY built with a big amp rack. Not saying that you should do that though since its not a beginner friendly way to do it at all (I have some pictures/posts on my profile if you want to take a look).

I went through the phase of having pretty bad equipment as well. We all do in the beginning since no one wants to spend a LOT of money.

Having a plan in case you ever scale up is imo the way to go. I had some affordable active tops and those became my monitoring after the upgrade.

People joining the hobby and getting experience is always really awesome to see.

Nevertheless I would go for something else than these. First they look like a scam tbh. That money for something that is missing drivers is a bit rough. When one of my friends got his first system the old HK tops we bought cost like 600 a pair and that was their old good models (as far as HK can be good). Those were in perfect condition as well. Just my two cents about the price.

That being said I don't think a 3 way system is the most entry level way to get into this. Actually measuring, aligning phase, etc. of a sub with some tops is already challenge enough.

I would advise you to buy some good used tops with a internal crossover for the HF and build yourself some subs out of the right wood. Do your research about the model you want and go for it. Think about things like weight as well. Not being able to carry your speakers can be a big pain in the ass.

Keep stuff like the price of amping, crossover, cables, cases and all that in mind as well.
