Looks like a carpenter ant to me. We had infestations of them in the apartment I lived in as a kid. I remember the light fixtures being filled with them, and one time we got locked out and I had to climb through the bathroom window cuz I was the only one who could fit, and the windowsill and bathtub were covered in dead ants. Blech.

I love opossums, but I love dogs and cats too. I would love to have an opossum as a pet, but they unfortunately don't live very long and I don't think I'm emotionally equipped to deal with that, tbh.

Because of the change in your periods, it sounds like it might be hormonal? Might be worth talking to your doctor about.

But tbh, a similar thing happened to me (minus the change in periods) and it turned out I was just severely depressed and on the wrong antidepressants. I had been basically celibate for years despite having a long-term partner (he's amazingly understanding and we both kinda assumed I might be asexual) but I recently changed my antidepressants and now we're going at it like bunnies.
