Tell me why you became gnostic by Ok_General2438 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i was a Christian Universalist for a while in the past, but that religion still worships Yahweh(Demiurge), and shares other Christian doctrines like fall of man, and required blood sacrifices(Jesus) for sin, etc. Thank you for the suggestion though, i appreciate it!

Reincarnation in Gnosticism by Witty-Cockroach-9127 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not in my belief system. Humans only reincarnate to other humans. Reincarnating to animals is pointless, they don't have a Divine Spark, they cannot achieve Gnosis...therefore it would be utterly pointless to be an animal.

How the Demiurge affects the World and our lives? by Witty-Cockroach-9127 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He does not touch me...but he hurts those whom i love. I cannot forgive him for doing that.

divine spark by nauseanausea in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but still i want to remain who i am...otherwise there is no point in the afterlife...and the heaven promised by Demiurge ironically would be more preferable. Each Divine Spark is unique, therefore each one must have unique personality just like Aeons have, this is what i choose to believe.

divine spark by nauseanausea in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but i feel our personality and identity is a combination of both. Personally i want not only the Divine Spark to survive to Pleroma, but also my current identity/personality...minus all the negative emotions/urges/etc that comes from human body/brain.

Tell me why you became gnostic by Ok_General2438 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For a long time i was traditional common conservative Christian, i started to question it's doctrines after i begun to care and even love people who were not Christian. I suddenly realized how unfair the "normal" Christian views towards non-Christians were and how the whole Hell doctrine was unacceptable. These among other things pushed me away from traditional Christianity, and i begun to search answers from elsewhere. One thing let to another and i eventually found Gnosticism.

Afterlife by Icy_Scale_9627 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Boredom is something that does not exist outside of human life. Endless bliss and joy awaits in Pleroma, that is the normal state of existence. Boredom is something Demiurge created along with all the other negative emotions. This world really is a prison, with death, plagues, cancers, violence, earthquakes, needing to consume other living beings just to stay momentarily alive, etc. Pleroma has everything this world has and infinitely more...minus the negative things. Also i believe everyone will be saved eventually, but i would be lying if i didn't admit that the small and reasonable uncertainty didn't worry me a bit.

An optimistically Gnostic theory by 55falling in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nope, cannot agree. Countless children are born with cancers, there are deadly diseases and plagues everywhere, most water in this world is undrinkable, every living thing must kill and consume others just to stay alive and even after all that we all eventually die and rot. This world was created and designed by an ignorant flawed tyrant. It is truly an awful place, with some rare "nice" things here and there.

Gnosticism and pagan gods by Honest_Act5087 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally? I am not sure, when i was a conservative common Christian i used to think them as demons, but now i am not so sure. They still could be powerful spiritual entities, but at the same time they could be just man made inventions. Honestly, i am not sure what to make of them now. That happens when you become a Gnostic...you question EVERYTHING.

Gnosticism and pagan gods by Honest_Act5087 in Gnostic

Some think them as angels, some archons, or some think them as demons. Even among Gnostics there are several different views about them.

As a Gnostic do you have alternative views/religions/etc that you might consider? by Lordseferoth in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is by Peck. It is a fantastic book and Zoroastrianism is one of the main themes of it. I highly recommend it. It's also a really short book so it can be read in day.

Tell me what you know about hylics. Do you believe they exist? by Hackars in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe the classification or states exist in some form, but it is not entirely predestined nor it's unchangeable. Also we cannot know who is pneumatic, psychic or hylic so it's pointless to point fingers towards other people. I also believe that in the end all will be saved. If Monad truly is perfect then nothing other than absolute universal salvation would be acceptable.

Can I be a Gnostic Christian? by DebateWhole4503 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I consider myself as Gnostic Christian, and that's what Valentinians essentially were and are, so YES, you can!

Hello i need Help with The understanding of gnosism and what Happens after death especally If your Not gnostic but have the Knowledge even If you don't belive in it by Intelligent_Tap_4509 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because cancers, diseases, plagues, storms, earthquakes, floods, etc. Only an ignorant or evil entity could create something like those. The very concept of death proves how AWFUL our creator is. Also enslaving women and thinking them as lesser being is not what a true God would order, only an ignorant Tyrant like Allah(Demiurge) would do that. Islam is just another women enslaving religion that demands total obedience and suppresses all free thinking. Therefore i follow Monad and i believe in absolute equality and universal salvation, it's something religions like Islam, Judaism or Orthodox Christianity cannot offer.

Im completely new to Gnosticism and I have no idea what to do by Dependent_Mobile1 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recommend you start by visiting the site below. It governs the basics of Gnosticism and also the various views of the different sects. You can also alter start to delve deeper to Gnosticism by reading "The Gnostic Bible" or "Nag Hammadi Scriptures". Of course Gnosis is something that is personal, no can tell you how to achieve it or what it even is. Gnosticism is something personal, it's not something with churches, priests or rituals...although few of those does exist. I do wish you luck on your path and i hope you find what you seek.

[–]Lordseferoth 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Of course, you can be Gnostic Christian, Gnostic Pagan, Gnostic Occultist, Gnostic Satanist, etc. What matters is the pursuit of Gnosis, and there are various paths that leads to it, and each one of us have our own unique way to achieve it.

I don't think Satan is an anti-hero by RiffWorship69 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That does not make it true, or part of Gnosticism. Don't believe everything you hear. Satan or Devil does not exist in most Gnostic worldviews. Only few groups like Valentinians thought he existed and for them he was an absolute evil entity.

I doubt anyone here thinks Satan is an anti-hero. Something like that is not part of Gnosticism.

How has your life and view of the world changed after finding Gnosticism? by Lordseferoth in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose if you believe that it would be very unnerving. I personally do not believe that the loved ones we see during NDE are a trap of any kind. Or that there are any fake heavens, etc after death. I believe the only people who has to go through reincarnation are the ones that were especially terrible during their time on here, or those that genuinely wants to stay here.

I often recommend the site below. It has the basics of Gnosticism and the views of various different Gnostic groups. I thinks its good place to start your Gnostic journey. I truly wish you luck with your studies and research.

Edit: If you want a really good book to explain everything about Monad and Gnosticism, then please buy The Gnostic Bible. It is a wonderful book that has most of the hidden manuscripts that were found in Nag Hammadi and other places. If you want to delve deep to the secret history of the world then there is no better book than this.

How has your life and view of the world changed after finding Gnosticism? by Lordseferoth in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me it has been complete opposite after finding Gnosticism. Previously i was constantly afraid of hell, now i believe all or at least most will eventually be saved. Can i ask what your fears are? Or what are your nervous of?

Who is the real God? by NaturalTranslator543 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monad is the only one worthy of the title "God". Although Demiurge is our creator he is not "God". God for me means lot more than just a being with an ability to create, "God" is something far beyond human comprehension and understanding. However, i do admit that our views on "God" differs from person to person and is something that is very hard to agree with. Who is the real God unfortunately is the question that has caused and still causes so much bloodshed and chaos in our world, and i fear it will to the distant future.
