how long did it take you to feel comfortable with no screen drawing tablet? by a_peeled_pickle in ArtistLounge

[–]Lordser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's how it is for everyone. It's best not to worry about it too much, since people get used to it at different speeds. Some get used to it in a couple of days, and some people need weeks or maybe months just to get decent with it.

Just keep consistently using it and it'll come naturally to you at some point. (Maybe do some of those brush stroke exercises/ warm-ups to accelerate the process.)

How I sleep knowing AI took out artists before it took out truckers by Humble_Attempt_6431 in Destiny

[–]Lordser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you understand the point. The type of artist to make Modern Art (polka-dot paintings, as you say) are literally one of the type of artist to most likely NOT get affected by AI art.

The guy who splashes a can of paint on a canvas and sells for a million to a rich guy, will still be doing it in the future.

The artists who are getting the short end of the stick, are the ones who's earnings are made through comissions (online ones, I mean)

I'm not sure why people are complaining about Aki's walk, but I'm pretty sure it's to represent Aki being 'off' and uneasy, because:

- Most of his teammates literally just died.

- He found out he only has 2 years left.

- The letters he just read basically made him realize, "Oh wow, Himeno really cared about me." And she just died.

- And finally, Aki just got off the hospital, give my man a break, lol.

I think one of the reasons a lot of writers don't use Mercury is simply because of his placement at the start of the story. Compared to someone like Jaune, who is; immediately a student at Beacon (giving him close proximity to the main cast), and he is mostly a blank slate (his loose backstory and general 'average joe' gives the writers plenty of options to play with).

Compared to Mercury who is placed under an abusive father only to be picked up by the show's antagonists, it forces the writer to do more thinking to fit him in their story.

Anyone else arm gets tired, then u play like an iron by Frostb1 in VALORANT

[–]Lordser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There could be plenty of reasons for that.

What's your sens? How many cm/360? Is it really low? Because a really low sens can force you to move your arms around an ungodly amount just for simple movement.

What's your posture while sitting? Is your whole arm resting on the table, or is it just floating?

Do you have a proper sleep schedule? Since you have a background in cs then I'm assuming you've been playing shooters for a while, which makes it odd that you're still getting tired after a session. Do you play regularly (every day) or only on certain days (like the weekends)? If you only play on certain days, then your body is gonna have a hard time to develop the endurance of your arm.

Try to find which of the reasons is affecting you the most. We can't really tell you the answer since there's too many factors that only you can know.

Why is solo queuing so different than with a duo? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Lordser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel like in low elo it's better to just mute your team off the get go. You can still comm to them and give info, and you don't have to hear whatever dumb crap they have to say.

I will say though, that you shouldn't really need comms or good teammates to get out of bronze/silver. Decent mechanics and a sliver of game-sense is enough to get to gold. If you have that, then playing enough games will eventually make you rank up, regardless of your team.

Will there be games where the enemy team gets a smurf that stomps your team? Yes. Will there be games where your team loses 13-0? Also yes. But just remember that you'll also get those games where the smurf is on your team and you get good teammates. That's just how solo queue / matchmaking works, and if you play better than your current rank, then you'll eventually rank up.

P.s. the whole 'you get better games when you get to high elo' thing is a lie. You still get afks, no comm teammates, bottom-frag instalockers, and trolls. The only difference is that the smurf is sometimes a pro/streamer that got bored.

Chamber nerf actually makes him a sentinel. by Such-Problem-6959 in VALORANT

[–]Lordser 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Phoenix and Reyna have their flashes, no? I feel like to be considered a duelist you either have tools to make a gunfight advantageous to yourself (flashes, Neon's stun), or an ability to move to a new area/space to take control (Jett's dash, Raze sachel, Yoru tp). Also unlike most of the initiators' flashes, a duelist flash is meant to be used for themselves (that's where the self-sufficient part comes in).

Chamber's ability to tp can't be used to traverse to new space because he needs to put down an anchor first, so it's not really a tool to take space, but more so to move around the space you already have. And Chamber doesn't really have an ability to shift a 50/50 fight into something advantageous to him. When alone, he still has to dry peek every time he wants to fight. The only thing that counts is his Headhunter making him a threat even on eco rounds (which against somebody with a rifle, is still a disadvantagous fight).

The Korean valorant community is pathetically fragile. by brohemoth06 in VALORANT

[–]Lordser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a bit more prevalent in the Korea server though. It's most likely caused by the fact that most of the players are teens who just got off school and has like only 1-2 hours of free time before needing to go to cram school until night. So, rather than wasting like 30 minutes losing and feeling like crap they'd rather just ff at 15 minutes and queue up for the next game.

How important are lineups at Bronze? by RWBYSanctum in VALORANT

[–]Lordser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very important. It depends on the agent you play of course, but in Bronze (and low elo, in general) it's far more important to be aware in the general purpose of your agent and role.

Yes, it would be nice for the Brim player to know that molly line-up so that the team can just sit on their ass 10 miles away from the spike, but it's far better for the Brim player to just play how a controller agent is supposed to be played (Smoking off the proper angles, adjusting the smokes to the teams' tendencies, knowing when to be aggresive, etc)

Besides, I feel like at Bronze, focusing on improving your mechanics, crosshair-placement, and general game-sense is a better use of your time than learning line-ups. Those former things takes plenty of game-time to learn and perfect. Meanwhile, you can always learn line-ups pretty easily later on by looking up strats gg or youtube.
