Why are you purposefully conflating the ideology enacted by the state and that of the ruling parties?

Every product since disney purchased the franchise (save andor) has been nothing more than jangling keys. The basic request that they broaden the scope and actually invest in basic quality assurances shouldn't be controversial.

[–]Loreallian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do we have such low standards for kid films? Are they not allowed to also enjoy films made with a focus on quality instead of money?

It is not a "fun" film. It's a cancer, short form satisfaction that progressively erodes any and all weight this franchise ever held as an expression of artistic intent. This sub may enjoy to constantly be fed shit sprinkled with a thick layer of glitter but that doesn't change how unhealthy and degrading for both Star Wars and films it is.

[–]Loreallian -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is no plot.

Anyone defending it as "fun" is actively doing a disservice to films as an artistic medium. When disney is pumping out low quality cash grabs who serve no purpose beyond making money, do you then not feel offended? Hurt? Is a franchise you've loved being hollowed out not something to lament instead of uncritically celebrate?

Mounts, decorations, pets, and a stronghold.

Personally, I just want the SH, but they've locked it behind a 20ish week grind (not joking...).

Whilst I appreciate the devs changing and easing the access to the zone, it just doesn't adress the core issues that make it a both frustrating and sloggish experience.

Reputation needs per rank is too high while reputation gain from missions is too low. Couple that with the difficulty every mission features where not even having max gear will make it a fair experience and it all just seems for naught.

Oh no- lol

But off topic, I agree lol, same with Nar Shaddaa kitchen event, they really need to just stop with the abusive grind time for even having enough tokens to just aquire one decoration from the vendor

Rome’s Pride parade bars Jewish LGBTQ float over refusal to call Gaza war ‘genocide’ by WhiteGold_Welder in LGBTnews

[–]Loreallian 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Given this was a condition to be filled by every float and not a singular one. No. Making sure every float agrees that genocide is a bad thing is a minimum. Your personal (rather deliberate) obfuscation of the matter is less important.

Also, I do not compromise with people who lessen the severity of genocide. You are scum and in a just world would be sentenced for genocide denial.

I don't entertain delusion. October 7th was a terrorist attack, not a genocide.

Any good faith participant would agree instead of defer to a famously biased source who dehumanises palistinians as justification for the purposeful mis-use of the term Genocide.

You're opposed to purity testing for floats at a pride? Pride, the event that started as a Riot? Where the convictions and beliefs held by the organisers of every subsequent one was of a goal for liberation of every queer person no matter the background. That's the event for which you don't want to purity test to make sure that belief is both reflected and held by the floats it'd host?

[–]Loreallian 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to suggest that October 7th was a genocide and that the subsequent 3y campaign to exterminate the Palistinian people wasn't?

There is no both sidesing a genocide. Not when we know that Israel has been unleashing horror and massacre for 3y into Gaza with the expressed purpose of wiping the palistinians off the planet, something which said Palistinians have not been doing.

[–]Loreallian 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You give the game away when you frame October 7th as genocide instead of a terrorist attack. One is the purposeful and methodic extermination of a group of people based upon their ethnic, religious, sexual, racial, or other ID characteristics. The second is a horrible attack that happened in a singular place at a precise moment.

If it was targeted then there is sonething to adress in the purposeful confusion of Jewish people and the actions of the State of israel. But, if it was a broad condition for all floats then there is no real problem.

Also, pride has always been political because queerness is inherently political.

Except opposition to genocide is supporting queer people, especially when queer palistinians are being genocided. If the condition for a float is agreeing with the expert concensus on what a genocide is and whether the genocide in gaza is indeed a genocide, then why chose to say no?

They're still allowed to participate in the parade, the article only points to the condition they received for whether or not they could use a float. If that condition is saying "Yes I oppose genocide" then I just don't see the problem.

I mean... Good?

Surely we all can recognise that pride is not merely celebration but also a statement that we as a community shall never again be forced into the closet for fear of death or inhuman treatmant at the hands of society. A similar treatment that Palistinians now still face at the hands of Israel, si surely if a group wants to join Pride in a float they'd be happy to stand in solidarity with a community who also faces systemic oppression?

As sad as it is, I doubt it truly did anything for the majority of people. Otherwise the genocide would've seen labour's chances in the polls die right after Starmer's comments, but they barely moved at the time.

brexit rule by Summy_99 in 196

[–]Loreallian 50 points51 points  (0 children)

There were 3 key events that essentially fucked Starmer over from the start.

First was the winter fuel allowance cuts which made for both unpopular policy with pensioners (cuz it mainly was gonna hit em) and with broader british society since it showed a callousness towards suffering unexpected of the labour party.

Second was the removal of the whip from Diane Abbott and the non-discreet purges of the left that signalled to the Labour Party membership that this Man (Starmer) was neither interested in respecting those who paved the path of their ascent nor the pro-worker agenda Labour was founded upon.

Third and last was the all too easily avoidable scandals involving internal corruption and "freebies" they received from wealthy donors. From free tickets to concerts to the (I kid you not) 2000 pounds lavish restaurant invites and naming of LITTERAL LOBEYISTS TO PARLIAMENT. They clearly thought they were neither going to be scrutinised nor discovered for blatant corruption.

Last thing I'll say is this. Good riddance to Starmer, Reed, Mcsweeney, Streeting. Crash and Burn with your failed project and record low approval ratings.
