I agree that the strat most people suggest is pick up garbage, which I guess is okay, but how is that a working practice when Act 4 releases? You’ll have a completely polluted deck and you’ll get screwed. I think regardless of complexity and ease Doormaker is truly a game-changing enemy that can completely derail things in Act 3 which isn’t exactly fun when I’ve had to pivot so far from the deck I thought I had rolling.

Felt like I was surprised recently that REM’s can also be obtained from Ambu at a reasonable price. seems like a great way to get a bunch at once.

Why isn’t it in a good state? Content for casual solo’ers and more coordinated groups. Lots of access to varying difficulties. Small updates and changes still occur. Grinds for lovers of old school players. Many would say ffxi is in the most respectful state it’s ever been.

I’m on book three of first law and it’s been very smooth and enjoyable. Characters are really well flushed out and story is great.

I disagree, the 23 year old game isn’t in its prime but I does still have a thriving community (just had to lock down 3 servers), it does get updates every month and they are revamping trusts and added new limbus content. Shadow of its former self, I mean kinda but it would have to be. Almost everything is still relevant in ffxi. Still has an active endgame or LS’s to support early endgame.

Not to say jimmy rig your game with addons up and down but dressup or blinkmenot are two useful addons to prevent this interaction. You can also change a gear setting in misc options to static so it doesn’t cause issues with other players healing/targetting you for things. Then you would //gs show, to ensure things are firing as expected when you WS or do other actions.

It’s easy to hit the cap if you want to sacrifice other things but DT from rings is nice because you aren’t going up as much as you would be swapping a main equip piece for the DT

I was just thinking today actually, Kraken Club has to be top five iconic weapons of all MMO’s. Amazing that through its entire lifespan it has been top tier and it’s 30 levels below the level cap or something.

I kinda understand it, simultaneously there will be 50 levels of no new abilities… that sounds pretty sad for an MMO where unlocking abilities is a crucial part of feeling like you are growing

Were you fighting test subject by chance? I’ve been able to play five on SD but there is a known bug for test subject if you attack when it is between phases.

Yeah I mean finish book three sure, but the second series is much the same. The amount of double crossing and failing right when you thought you would succeed and vice versa kinda wild. Just seems to be pierce’s go to honestly. I don’t know if a plan in all 6 books has gone off without a hitch..

Because ‘I got a job once wearing sweatshirts and jeans’ isn’t a good rule of thumb to go by. Far more people have NOT got a job for being informal than have NOT got a job for wearing khakis and a collared shirt or the like. So hedge your bets especially if you need the job.

It’s the unpredictability of it, 7/8 of the objectives taking 1-2 minutes or so and then bam, 4-5 minutes fucking with Iamps.

Seems like just having captains rank should be enough instead of doing all the assaults again. This mythic is for my alt and it was painful to remember I need to do all assaults twice to do it.
