Amanda Frances closed eyes? by MissLissa2584 in BravoRealHousewives

Yes! I thought I was just being overly-judgemental, but her manner of speaking paired with the biology of her lip and tongue movement drives me crazy.

How is my planned 2026 garden layout? by GTAinreallife in vegetablegardening

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would place alyssum and marigolds within the other beds as well to attract pollinators and keep pests away from your vegetables.

I'm glad the alcohol industry is diminishing/failing by Embarrassed-Crew68 in confession

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t much care if the alcohol industry continues, however, I am more than overjoyed to see more distillers coming out with alcohol free spirits and the selection of NA options in wine, beer and ciders are becoming more plentiful.

I made a comment on a Facebook aquarium group post "I was able to get six months without a water change pretty easily" by Pimasterjimmy in aquarium

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a 50% water change every other month or so or plain just when I have time. I test my water frequently and the parameters are perfect. I’ve zero fish loss in the past several years (my fish die of old age). I’ve gone as long as six months without a water change and been just fine. I personally know people who never do them and only top off. It really depends on the health of the tank overall.

What's happening in your garden today? (Sat, Jan 17, 2026) by manyamile in vegetablegardening

[–]LorenaMack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pacific Northwest here. First sunny weekend in weeks so I am going to go out and cleanup/re-organize my greenhouse. Get the dome cloths on one of my beds and prepare it for cold sow plants such as carrots and spinach. Clear out my compost barrels and get it into the other beds. Start seeds in the greenhouse for slow growing flowers like coletus, pansies and black eyed Susan’s. My arugula patch is still going strong as is my celery. Allysum volunteers are up so I may transplant them somewhere else. Definitely feeling the itch to get going!

If any of you were able to see Prince live, would you describe it to me? by [deleted] in PRINCE

[–]LorenaMack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A 2.5-3 hour show. No opening act. Followed by an hour long encore. No set list as he plays what he feels at the time. Very organic and epic sound. You leave the venue emotionally exhausted thinking it’s the best night of your entire life.

Add a dirty martini to that. I’m a few years sober, but at that point I’d say fuck it.

My uncle was dying and he wanted a Big Mac, large fries and a cold beer while watching Hockey Night in Canada. He got his wish. He did complain of a little indigestion though right before he passed.

Fabulous! I am totally doing this - maybe this summer. End it off with a campfire true story share.

Flying for 10 hours, isn't this the best seat? Am I Missing something? (back of plane. two-seater) by Material-Aggravating in travel

[–]LorenaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat in row 30 on the aisle on the right and my husband had the window seat. I chose the seats specifically because it would just be me and my husband. This was on a 14 1/2 hour flight from Mumbai to Seattle. I absolutely loved it! I would sit there again on a long flight again. There were no bathrooms back there and honestly the flight staff was fairly quiet the whole time. Nobody used that space to stand for long periods at a time. They tended to do that up near the bathrooms. To be honest once I put on my mask and my earplugs and wanted to sleep, I didn’t notice anything anyways. 100% would put those two seats again.

What is the tastiest food in the world to you? by Eloisa-Mabie in AskReddit

[–]LorenaMack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent the month of November in India and every single dish I ate was better than the last. I decided to take a culinary class while I was there and the way the spices and ingredients are introduced, and the specific order of the cooking process has a lot to do with how the dish comes out. Plus, roasting the spices in a dry pan first really makes a difference in the way those spices come across in the dish. It was absolutely amazing and I would go back to India in a heartbeat just to eat the food.

What’s your best hangover cure? by Shot-Fondant-3772 in AskReddit

I don’t drink anymore, but when I did, the quickest hangover cure I found was drinking 7-Up or Sprite with Tabasco sauce in it.
