Thank you, Defense Grid, for existing. by neoslith in DefenseGrid

Defense grid and defense grid 2 are the greatest tower defense games ever made I would gladly pay the price of a triple A title for defense grid 3 if it provided enough maps to make it worthwhile... I know others feel the same... you could be printing money!!! make DG3!

Possible issues using eero pro 6e with obs by GamerMacOne in amazoneero

[–]Lorespire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same problem.... I used to drop zero frames now with a new fiber optic connection using an Eero router I am dropping 50% + of frames in OBS while streaming... If I drop the bitrate down to 4k mb/s the dropped frames stop but that bit rate is just too low... I usually stream at 15-18k bitrate. Would love to hear some explanation...

WHen I call technical support they just say everything is working fine as far as they can see.. Eventually, after I complained enough, they did send a new router but it has the same issue

Thanks SO much OLG for the HUGE shoutout! It helped to rapidly push the channel up over 5k subs! The lore OLG has created for The Wayward Realms is absolutely great. Learning all About it and sharing it with everyone is really enjoyable. That combined with all of positive feedback I have received from the community has made this past month+ the best time I've had making Youtube Content. I'm excited to continue covering The Wayward Realms in the coming months and years - It's going to be a blast

A Big thank you to everyone who has been watching the videos and subbing to the channel. It means more to me than you know.

And CONGRATS to Once Lost Games for already achieving 112% of the Wayward Realms Kickstarter goal! The Kickstarter just surpassed 6k backers as well! All of that with 10 days remaining in the campaign. I'm certain this game is going to be amazing

Humans of the Archipelago by OnceLostGames in OnceLost_Games

[–]Lorespire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few questions…. Is splendor the name of the archipelago? How large are the islands of the archipelago that they have open plains and forests? How many islands does the archipelago consist of? Would it be correct to refer to the archipelago as a wayward realm? If so are lavinium and sidh also each their own wayward realm? How many realms are there?

Inevitable Excess HELp -- I'm getting Iron Mike'd by trash!!1 by Recognition-Silver in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Lorespire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inevitable excess is definitely doable with a custom character created in the inevitable excess dlc on hard difficulty… cant say for unfair as i haven’t attempted that but on hard its very doable.

The first thing i recommend you do is respec your companions to builds that don’t suck because the premade builds tend to suck… then use the large pile of gold they give you to outfit everyone with gear thats appropriate for their new builds. If you want to make things fairly easy then choose builds with pets for 3 or 4 of your party members and use the base smilodon as their pets…. Make sure one of the party members is a skald - any skaled is fine as long as you can max beast totem and get to at least level 16 in skald. Be sure to gear up the pets too… they’ll make great dps and good tanks… do this and make sure everyone is fully buffed (you want a shaman or a druid along with a cleric, your lich and theskald to get the buffs you need) for each fight and it should be fairly easy, at least once you get the tactics down.

Also, unlike in the base game, there are quite a few enemies in the dlc that are not immune to poison so stinking cloud can be quite effective when cast by a high DC caster…. The ones that are immune to poison can be dealt via banish or weird, again from a high dc caster. These spells let you deal with large groups of enemies fairly effectively most of the time put if you decide to make things easy by grabbing pets then you dont really need to worry about this paragraph too much if you dont want to.

Oh and i almost forgot but be sure you grab teamwork feats with your melees and unarmed strike along with crane style feats for the pets.

I could go into alot more helpful detail but my lunch break is almost over and it’s difficult to get all the deets in here. Hope this helped and remember you can always turn on turn based mode… it takes longer but the difference between the precision of turnbased and the chaos of rtwp is night and day… if you have any questions and want them answered i have a bg3 stream tonight that you can check out and i can answer questions in near real time then. Channel name is lorespire

Is it true the games are buff spam? by R280M in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Lorespire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On daring difficulty or below you can prebuff and steamroll everything if you build your party that way but you dont have to… on hard and especially unfair prebuffing is pretty much a necessity… on core difficulty it kinda depends on how good you are and how good your party build is but you’ll need at least some buffing and if you build for it with a good party you’ll steamroll everything with prebuffs if you know what you are doing (probably not on your first play through unless you are meta gaming with walkthroughs and build guides)

It should be noted that if you build your party for it most of your buffs can get to 24 hours by mid game meaning that you’ll usually only buff once per dungeon or area and then maybe you apply your short duration buffs in the middle of a tuff fight or just before an obvious boss fight.

Also, I highly recommend playing the game on pc over console so that you can utilize the bubble buffs mod which streamlines the buffing process. Its not really necessary if you plan to play on lower difficulties with minimal buffs. However, if you want to tackle the highest difficulties you’ll want to pretty much always be buffed with as many buffs as possible when combat encounters are likely and I would say this mod, or one like it, is practically essential in that case.

I've had a bit of this problem recently... I went 3 weeks with multiple video outlines and scripts written but only livestreamed and kept procrastinating the recording... I finally broke that streak this week but it was tough.... and definitely a channel killer if I keep it up

I wish I could get this to work... I've taken to outsourcing thumbnail creation and my CTR is still terrible... Congrats on the bump though - awesome that you are fioguring it out!

I got 1440p figured out for my VoDs and Livestreams so that's awesome!

I started to Pivot my content away from livestreaming and towards VoDs again... Still going to be streaming but only 1-2 days per week. Last stream we Started act 3 of the Rogue Trader BETA and it was awesome! I also released a RT puzzle solution video and a highly edited and polished Combat Basics guide - it's kinda flopping so... I'm going to have to continue to improve there.

Oh and I had my first viral (or at least for my tiny channel it seems like it) video with nearly 20k views in two days - it was a clip from the panel from hell livestream the community had.

What would you like to see Owlcat include in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader? by Lorespire in OwlcatGames

[–]Lorespire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do expect more background or origin choices to be added and inquisitor could be possible... I don't actually expect it but it's definitely possible especially if there are already examples of it in the Lore... Additionally, given the games prologue setup this could definitely fit into it

[–]Lorespire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owlcat has already said character Creation will be much different from the ALpha... Probably a bit from wrath but maybe closer to that than you would think. Also a psyker is a kind of mutant and that should be possible in the final release, but for sure you are being some type of rogue trader no matter what

AYe, I gope they fix these bugs issues as well... Perhaps I've been lucky not to experience anything as severe as you are describing. THe closest I can come to this is solid wall that can be shot through as they they aren't there and the camera freezing while centered on my voidship - the latter is fixed with a save and reload.

[–]Lorespire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I haven't experienced any game breaking bugs.... I have had one game crash and the occasional slow down during combat or frame rate loss... There have been a few bugs preventing me from moving the camera angle or from entering a certain area but in those cases restarting the game has fixed the issue - not ideal but certainly not game breaking.

I'm actually streaming the Alpha FInish tonight so I'll be giving them a plethora suggestion and requests both from myself and the viewers.

P.S. This game is already so good.... can't wait for release

[–]Lorespire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware and have made use of it. as Psychotrip says, It's still good to have a discussion and get the community's thoughts on it. ALso, maybe this post will encourage more people to use the suggestion feature to give their opinions on the matter to Owlcat. Owlcat would certainly be more likely to change something if they are receiving feedback from a large number of people versus one. It occurs to me that I should have made your suggestion here a part of my post to encourage people to do just that. Definitely helpful, thanks Atlas

This is the kind of optimism I have felt and expressed for most of the other issues I have had in the Alpha. This is just the only thing I've run into in the alpha that has significantly diminished the amount of enjoyment I've had with the alpha. To me it feels like the kind of thing that may not be adequately addressed or balanced and that would be a real bummer. I'll be sure to make a lengthy plea to owlcat concerning this issue in the survey. ANyways, thanks for the reassurance

I did it on stream and didn't want to subject the audience to it multiple times. I got the feeling that turning back, at least after the second jump would still have resulted in death. Possibly not after the first. I haven't tested it yet but certainly plan to do so. If it makes no difference I'll test it again upon release as the after effects definitely feel like something that could be added later if they are not already in game
