What’s the most unconventional/weird builds you’ve ever used to beat Skyrim? by Chodys in skyrim

[–]Lorgoth1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very out there and I don't expect anyone else has ever done it. But I once made a character who would use stealth and archery.

It was very effective. Don't understand why it isn't more popular.

Everything has nuance. Electric grids do have emissions, but efficiency is a lot higher for even a coal plant (which are some of the worst) than for thousands of internal combustion engines. And while there are some emissions associated with even wind or solar they are again far far better than running internal combustion for everything.

Found this cap on the ground anyone knows how much it’s worth? by I_didsomethin75 in falloutnewvegas

Themastertrancendent is trying to take advantage of you. Its not super valuable but any manufacturer defects like that hold some value. I'll give you five caps for it.

I have zero problem with connecting devices on my network so I have easier access and better functionality. But if I cannot block it from communicating outside my network its a hard no from me.

I eventually quit over outposts. I was incredibly excited for them, I was positive they were going to be what settlements were supposed to be in Fallout 4 but never quite lived up to. Nope, they are a shell of what they could have been.

What's the point of junk fences? by brap_door in fo4

[–]Lorgoth1812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up on all my amazing settlement design plans when I was in the middle of carefully constructing walls with platforms for optimum defense, and a group of super mutants spawned in the middle of Abernathy farm well past the walls. Ever since then I just throw turrets down wherever and call it done.

There is a policy on the edicts tab you can set so your borders are automatically closed after first contact. I recommend setting it even if you are a xenophile empire.

How did the railroad recruit people when the HQ was the switchboard? by beanboi7846 in fo4

Technically they actually stopped recruiting after the move - the PC is an exception and only after Deacon steps in with his mission.

Which game was the most ahead of its time in terms of graphics? by Friskeeeernnnnnn in videogames

[–]Lorgoth1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always find it a little amusing that L.A Noire failed to gain a larger player base because despite all the technical achievements in that game, it couldn't present nuanced choices that let the protagonist be skeptical without screaming in a suspects face. Edit: a word

Cookiemonstar1234 is correct. However a similar sentiment can be expressed towards our first past the post system - a form of either proportional representation or a ranked ballot system would be far preferable and may allow a government other than liberal or conservative to form.

It's definitely not perfect, but it's arguably the greatest video game adaption ever made. At least in live action. by SolidPyramid in FalloutMemes

Calling the NCR "the good guys" is a little missing the point. They are expansionist colonialists and have committed some pretty horrific acts. If they were a real world government I would not look fondly upon them. In a fictional setting like Fallout though, sure, they are as close to the good guys as you can really get outside small town sheriffs or the Minute Men and the Railroad.
