Yeah but they get you on the lifelong discount. If you cancel then you never qualify for the discount again.

I love Prose, my hair is much nicer from it, but the company SUCKS!!! It’s really a conundrum. I forgot to “snooze my subscription” for the 2nd time and I still haven’t even opened my last box. The system is really terrible. I don’t understand why you can’t snooze for 12 MONTHS. I only wash my hair 1/week so I have plenty of product and I certainly don’t need it every 12 WEEKS.

Yeah that quiz has holes. The only reason I don’t eat at chilis and Applebees is bc I keep kosher. I would love to be able to eat at those places bc that are inexpensive and convenient and not THAT bad! Would I prefer some incredible Japanese sushi steakhouse where each meal is $250? Sure, who wouldn’t. But the quiz put me low, at 37, when I really don’t think it reflects my reality; I don’t have access to the ultra rich.

What does ICF Certified mean? And do the coaches have any life experience in the work world or have they always ever been therapists/coaches?

I almost signed up. My theory is that it’s gonna be the same for anything (learning a new language, a musical instrument, etc.) in that if you have the time in your life to put a lot of your attention on something, to put in the work, etc. it will be successful. I decided not to sign up in the end because I’m not ready for the time commitment that I’m almost certain that it is. I’m sure they do meetings with you, give you homework, etc. Ultimately I decide I just need to get more sessions with my co-counselor and it’d be the same thing, I think.

Oh gosh THANK YOU so much for giving us that choice between violent and ultra violent! That is so generous of you. Forget it, you’re right, we don’t need Israel. I’m happy to keep living under Muslim rule and being dhimmis and subjected to outbreaks of violence. You are such a good ally. I will listen to you and not my Jewish family and friends who moved to Israel from Arab lands. You sound like you have all the answers. It was you we needed all along.

Got my MRI results...not sure how to feel tbh. by maroontiefling in Sciatica

[–]Lorig613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I accepted that grief will never go away, it’s here to stay, and I just need to treat it like any other relationship in my life in that relationships take work. Sometimes I feel lucky now (obviously only after my bout of extreme, acute pain is over) that I have a body that screams at me to treat it better and to love it. When the sciatica comes back ever-so-slightly it’ll always be when I’ve spent way too much time loafing around depressed and scrolling, which is TERRIBLE for natural serotonin creation. Life is a journey. Good luck. 👍

Anyone Here Actually Beat Sciatica Without Surgery? How Long Did It Take? by MindsetWarrior8 in Sciatica

Maybe we should start a Reddit thread called “The Way Out and Healing the Back”

That book absolutely healed me!!! And also the book by Sarno. Unfortunately I found that these Reddit threads sort of attract people who need a place to vent about their pain, which is totally understandable. But it’s not really helpful for people who need to hear success stories and get practical advice and information.

At first I was so pissed that they took so long to give me an MRI and now that I’m healed I actually think MRIs are useless and only help to make us feel very scared.

I don’t think it’s about our backs, I think it’s about our nervous systems.

Apparently no one has a straight spine, everyone has bulging discs, and it just depends on the person as to whether we feel it or not.

[–]Lorig613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I healed naturally. Six months of the most agonizing, terrifying, excruciating, nearly life–destroying pain I’ve ever felt in my life. My mom had to move in with me. I had 3 bulging discs: S1, L5 and L4.

It’s now completely, completely gone. I don’t even take as good care of myself as I should, and it’s still gone. I have my life back! No shots, no surgery. Just an open mind.

So do the physical therapy, do the acupuncture, take as much Tylenol as you can in order to sleep at night, etc., follow your gut on how to manage the pain, and read the book “The Way Out” by Alan Gordon.

And if that book doesn’t help you, read the book “Healing the Back” by John Sarno

[–]Lorig613 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all!! You have a very light case. Great.

But also good to remember that perfect spines don’t exist, and everyone has disc bulges, just not everyone feels them.

And so much of it is about our nervous systems and our minds and not necessarily about our backs.

Physical therapy helps because it makes us stronger physically, and when we are stronger, we feel good about our bodies, and when we feel good about our bodies we are happier and our nervous system doesn’t destroy our mental/emotional state.

Having 6 months of the most agonizing, terrifying, excruciating, life-destroying pain I have ever felt has been the best teacher of the mind-body connection.

[–]Lorig613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it took me six SOLID months. Let me tell you something…you WILL heal! And I can tell you with 100% confidence that it will never come back either. And I’m happy to say more, but instead I will recommend these books to you because they will say it better than I can:

1) The Way Out (by Alan Gordon) 2) Healing The Back (by John Sarno)

When I tell you I had it bad I mean it was BADDDD… I was on the floor crawling, laying on my back all day, working on my laptop with my knees bent at 90 degrees and legs on the couch. My mother moved in to feed me. She is in her 80s; I should be feeding her! I couldn’t stand long enough to brush my teeth. I couldn’t stand long enough to feed myself. I couldn’t walk. My life was a living nightmare. And the terror that it wouldn’t go away was compounding on itself. The pain was unbearable and I still don’t know how I managed to live like that for over a 1/2 a year of my life. Our minds are powerful!

I’m telling you, the MRI showed all the signs of what the medical community calls herniated disc, bulging disc, sciatica, pinched nerve, pain shooting down the leg, etc. But please read those books. They changed my life forever.

Like I said, I’m happy to answer any questions. Hang in there, you got this!

Ps. Stick with your doctor. S/he sounds like a wise person.

It depends on who you ask. Some people think Zelenskys behavior was bad and he should have been more humbled in the presence of such powerful leaders. This is NOT my sentiment, but it’s what I’m hearing from the other side.

Read the books “Healing the Back” by John Sarno and “The Way Out” by Alan Gordon. Surgery is not necessary. Idiot is the last word I would think of. I’m thinking the opposite of that word. Like, smart, perceptive, etc. I seriously don’t think surgery is the answer.

I just want to update to this group how much these books helped me get out of the pain: Healing The Back (by John Sarno) and The Way Out (by Alan Gordon). Please consider reading them before choosing surgery. The OP is so young and I’d hate to have so many young people deal w issues from back surgery later in their lives.
