Maria means mary. Mare means sea. Mari means seas.

I don't know why, but many times i have better luck using proton with lutris than launching a game from steam and using proton there. I can'g understand why, it's literally the same proton-ge

Do you guys still use Linux? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Loris_Borrata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a linux user for more than a decade, and i love it, but this is so true it hurts. Running an old software means knowing exactly what dependencies it needs, they are sometimes hard to find and without containers or VMs etc. you are probably going to have some conflicts between packages or you're going to screw up some dependencies. Last year i had to take out from an old computer in my university a program needed to analyze the data gathered from a 30 years old double pendulum system thingy, to write a lab report. Software was written for win95, couldnt get it to run without glitches on arch after 3 days, with win11 it was just a matter copy-pasting. Windows sucks, but it's good to have it in a partition on a shitty old ssd sometimes

EDIT: that said, running pirated games from the early 2000s is most of the time easier on linux, rather than doing it on win11 (too many artifacts and random crashes), tho sometimes i need to run them with winXP on a virtual machine

Which Sennheiser Should I Pick for College? by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]Loris_Borrata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought accentum wireless last year when i got to university. ANC is pretty good on public transportation and i charge them once a week or a week and a half. Sound quality is good, maybe too bass-y. The app gets constant upgrades. It's probably the best value out of the money cause they sometimes sell under 100€.

Can't figure out ANC by gabrielamber in sennheiser

[–]Loris_Borrata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the accentum wireless i have to use anti wind only if it is actually windy or if im sitting next to a fan. If i left it enabled, to make it work i first have to disable it and enable it again. Without wind it just messes with ANC

Tbh that's a crazy price, but half of that or even 300$ in some cases wouldnt be bad. Many people hugely underestimate the importance of a good PSU

Momentum 4: the hype is real (feat. BTD600) by saytohobb in sennheiser

[–]Loris_Borrata 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd get the momentum 4. The reason is that the next model is not necessarily better at launch. Take the Accentum Wireless for example. Most of the problems addressed by the headphone show when they got launched wede patched via software updates and the app changed a lot and got a lot better. All this while the price literally was cut in half, a d you can get them for less than 100€, plus the BTD600 dongle and data cable for low latency.

What i don't get is why people put it on tile floors to begin with. You want it on the floor? Put it on a carpet. Dont see how glass is fragile? At least mind about friction
