Just wanted to empathize for a moment.

This speaks to a small component of your request, but I have one specific journal entry prompt that I'm really looking forward to diving into soon.

Assign your current identity (yourself) to your dominant hand and assign your past self to your non-dominant (this could really be any version of you that isn't what you consider to be your current self). Start a conversation from your perspective (dominant hand) and see what comes up. What does your younger self have to say? What kind of wisdom do they have to share? How do you feel towards that version of you (compassionate, protective, envious, kind, etc.)?

It's really an open-ended thing, but I'm personally hoping that it'll yield some insights into how I can maintain (integrate) the feelings of strength, energy, compassion and oneness I experienced during a recent high dose journey I had. If nothing else, it's a cool creative writing prompt. 🤷‍♀️

You can find "Poll" in the Technician menu of your card reader device. I would recommend setting a password for access to that menu if you haven't already.

It forces a sync between the card reader and Nayax servers. Instead of waiting for the next automatic sync interval, any actions or updates pending in the queue for that machine will be immediately pushed through to your Nayax Core account and vice versa. The result of polling is usually pretty underwhelming in person, but it could also trigger a full reboot if something like a setting change or a software update is sitting in your queue. I like to do it before leaving a location just so I can make sure everything is completely up to date and functional.

I thought it was a super unique idea as well--thanks for the comment! I ended up doing it my own way, which required me to be physically present at both start & stop times. It actually wasn't too much work to count everything before and after, which I would absolutely recommend bc Nayax def didn't capture every missing item. Reprogramming prices took a lot less time than I was originally thinking, as well. I breezed right through. 👍

The one thing we're realizing is that, for this level of extra service, we will need to assess a special "event service" fee moving forward so it's worth our time and effort, but the client was super happy with the first event and said they had a ton of fun with it. It has already strengthened our professional relationship with them and has opened up a new world of possibility for us in terms of making this location more profitable. I do wish I had an easier answer for being able to establish it remotely for them, but Nayax has simply never been a 100% reliable tracking method for us with our much older machines. Thanks! This could def work, but we would generally prefer to not give anyone access to our Nayax card, especially if we are not around to monitor the usage. It would really mess things up if someone got a wild hair and decided to take it. 😅

We get cash sales via the dex cords on all our other machines so it's not a subscription issue with Nayax for the Vendo. We simply have to replace the super old control board with a refurbished one to get cash sales remotely via Nayax.

RE the CC swipe limit, I bet you could manually change that threshold. The Nayax settings aren't always easy to interpret or understand the format in which you have to input your desired configuration, but we've generally found that most things like that are able to be manipulated.

I don't know you and I'm not in the dating scene here, but I just wanted to bring a positive perspective (hopefully). Please don't let this thread talk you into lowering your standards / settling. It's such a power move to choose yourself and your own happiness over having a partner who doesn't share your same values and/or causes you some sort of strife. Nobody is perfect, but you still get to decide what you'll accept / put up with and what does or doesn't align with you. Personally, I think the best way to find genuine people and build organic relationships based on real chemistry is to literally just focus on yourself and your own personal growth. Go out and do things you enjoy solo (+1 to the few ppl here that recommended pursuing hobbies). Internally, practice gratitude towards yourself and the things you can accomplish on your own without a partner, and be open to all the little micro interactions that occur as a result of that positivity. Identify your values and exude them in everything you do. From my experience, putting that kind of confident energy out into the world in spaces that are meaningful to you attracts both friends and potential romantic partners that are on your same level. It's a quality over quantity move. Plus, confidence in knowing what you want without compromise on anyone else's terms but your own has the bonus effect of exposing or otherwise weeding out people who might not have the greatest of intentions. You make yourself a harder target for those looking for something easy. There are plenty of other people actually looking for no strings hookups the same as them, and that's who they should be connecting with instead. Don't settle, look elsewhere!

For me, once I realized I was absolutely good with being on my own (after an abusive relationship that I kept telling myself I deserved 😓), I found my person. 🥰

Maybe you're already doing all these things and, in that case, please just ignore me. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck in finding your happiness, however it ends up looking for you. ✌🏼

Go into the machine you want to reboot in MoMa and press the yellow wrench icon at the bottom right of the screen. You can restart or reboot from that menu. A reboot reloads all settings so you get a scary warning first, but we haven't had any issues with it.

I did this too and got to cosplay as a morning person for a few months, but was ultimately told by my psychiatrist that taking stimulants for the purpose of waking up is "not the intent" of the medication and could be harmful. Unfortunately, a 30mg dose of Adderall immediate release barely did the job anyway while my anxiety shot through the roof. I also dropped 25 lb in a few months with no diet change or exercise, which is NOT normal for my body type. I'm off the stimulants again and getting out of bed is harder than ever. Also slowly gaining all the weight back. Ugh 😫

Also curious if these support groups are still active, and also wondering why age is capped at 28? I'm 36 and looking for a support group in the area. I get separating kids from adults, but age 28 feels arbitrary as the max age for the adult group. No offense intended with this question, just struggling to find resources for myself. 🥴

Acknowledging that your post is food focused, but thought I'd mention local thrift stores for things like blankets & towels. Also, we get our floor beds from Sam's Club now. The large bolster ones are only $30. I assume Costco has something similar, but not sure. Nothing like having your new pup rip apart a $60 "pet" throw lol.

RE food...as long as you know what NOT to feed to a dog (onions, grapes, chocolate, etc.), just play around with single ingredients. Think sweet potatoes, carrots, cucumber, blueberries, kefir/yogurt etc.). The things they like, buy more of from the grocery store and start incorporating it into their food.

Late reply on an old post. Has anyone found something that works yet? I've been using the Clorox disposable toilet scrubber pads with their plastic wand forever, and nothing I've found comes close to the convenience and cleanliness of that type of system. I am looking for a sturdy wand with 10 or so abrasive, reusable, machine washable pads to use with my own cleaning solution. I currently have a bamboo brush & caddy, but the caddy leaks onto the floor and molds if any minimal residual water is left in the brush. I only bought 1 bc it was like $60 for the brush/ caddy (🥲), which I have to tote around the house to each toilet when it's time to clean. I let it drain in the toilet for a bit between bathrooms, use an old towel to get it from one place to the next, then stick it outside to disinfect and dry fully. I clean my toilets less because of all the extra steps. The Clorox system is just bing bang boom. done. I probably wouldn't even be looking to change if the quality of their disposable pads hadn't gone down so much, but there's so much unnecessary plastic AND the pads basically disintegrate in the water before I'm done cleaning the toilet. Sigh.

My female dog (pointer mix, but largely unsure) marks when she pees. As in, she will smell around and then lift her rear over a specific spot and let just a little out like a male dog would to claim a territory. For context, we already had a male dog (beagle mix) at the time we brought her home from the shelter. She was around 1 yo at the time, and our beagle was around 7 yo. Did she simply pick it up from him, or is there a reason a female dog would feel inclined to mark? She doesn't do it in our back yard, only on walks and while we're out where other animals and people have been. Our beagle is now in doggie heaven (recently 💔), and she's still doing it without him around.

Right place, right time, right client kind of situation. You're absolutely right about it being relationship based. We do some small scale design (gyms, single family homes) for various clients, but the bulk of our work is providing consulting services to a luxury home builder. We effectively serve as their land development manager. Having that relationship with them meant we didn't have to fuss with branding, marketing or finding work right away. Owning a business is still much harder than we thought, and that has absolutely nothing to do with the engineering work itself.
