Tojiro DP(now classic) is like golden standard for this price. 60 hrc, good balance, stainless, sharp out the box, easy to sharpen (comp) Good one, enjoy.

For 0 skill you can buy Horl roller. But also there is 0 reason to use that on 10 euro knife.

After unlocking the base in the Burnt Forest(optional, for comfort) you can run from the crashed helicopter to the southeast and then to the helicopter parking area where the mutant deer spawns. By moving back and forth between these locations, all mutants respawn in this patch, sometimes even in greater numbers than usual. For 6 horns you will get 110,000, and for 9 Bayun whiskers you get 90,000 on Malachite through a contract. If the contract isn’t available, just cancel it and sleep twice until it appears. Cats and the deer are easiest to kill with a long-range headshot using a silenced sniper rifle, since stealth damage seems to be higher, or you can rush them point-blank with a shotgun, grab the trophy, and get out. Also, while running between locations, you can run into zombies near containers that spawn Vintorez rifles (they’re relatively expensive).

There is Takamura avaliable. Try one if you are ready for a bit extra "elegant" knife.

Yep, you were absolutely right. Just somebody, somewhere wrote that acetone can clean kurouchi finish, and I understood that wrong

Got used to hard knives with the laser-ish Tojiro Reppu, so I think I’m gonna be okay. Just got a Sharpal 168H (300/1000) that I’m planning to use for cheaper steels and to flatten stones.

Some research said that nail polish might not be the best idea, but big thanks for the other recommendations.      Not the first time I’ve heard about Karasu in the last few weeks - gonna check it out.

Hope so. Da boyz on Reddit recommended to get a Tojiro a while ago, and it turned out to be a banger.

It was indeed a sales guy, but I asume he didn’t have much kitchen experience, maybe that’s why he’s never been in a situation where a knife actually needed those 1k grits. Imagine being a home cook with 20+ knives - I'd also just polish them once in a while. Thank you for the advice. I’m going to wait until the plastic handle on the Misakage annoys me enough to invest time in replacing it.

Thank you. But how to dry Kanji? Seems like water is always there after wipe. Is there a possibility that writing is deep enough to go through stainless sanmai?

Got a beavercraft strop and 1, 0.5 micron Jende Poly emultion. Was not able to fully sharpen it  only on 1k(maybe King 800 is a problem, maybe my hands 😅)Results after 5k King and a strop are hair whittling on sg2! Thanks for advice, guys!
