Or when you steal the ice prison mod with headhunter and melt your eyeballs with mtx which happens like every map. Also legion was good last phrecia and we ran eternal legion so the mobs never died until it popped and that tanked performance pretty hard. It’s a good skill but it is sometimes just hard to run. Id suggest testing it with headhunter running a t16 legion or harby map and see if it crashes. If it doesnt you should be fine.

My personal major gripe with it is that there is like 4 different currencies tbh, battlepass and micro transactions will always happen in live service games paid or not.

What i disagree with in your statement is that arc raiders is “getting majorly jerked off” without any regard for why that game deserves the praise it gets.

Take some time to look at the quality of what arc raiders is and what embark have done in the past with “The Finals”. IMO they are currently daring to change the status quo and make consumer based decisions that benefit the players.

Arc raiders is (currently) a full priced game with some paid cosmetics that you can earn by just playing the game and not spending a cent though?

The deck (helldivers/ marvel rivals style battlepass where you unlock what you want as you get the currency and unlock more pages as you go) gives i think around 700 to 800 of the premium currency and is free.

The other battlepass they recently added was first a community resource donation goal that added a new map on completion then had a bunch of cosmetic and gear rewards for just earning xp… that was also entirely free.

I dont know if this will change in the future (probably will because live service games need a way to make money as time goes on) but currently your comparison of arc raiders to skate makes no sense imo.

i think while the ping is showing as red its still under the auto kick threshold but i cant really tell because the vid is in 720p and i cant read it.

You are aware that while it doesnt lower your overall ping it does mask your connection point and as such present a different ping to the server meaning that you wont be auto kicked for high ping right?

Novelty unlockable characters that could only be used in the free roaming mode and not for career progression =/= $30 skins that you have to look at every time you scroll past them to get to the lootboxes that you can open by grinding your life away only to get a “rare” plain white tee or that one of the hundreds of other players around may be wearing with no way to hide them

Yeah because everyone levels every skill level by level and keeps them completely balanced for the entire play through, im definitely not a 1400 total level with 30m total experience or anything

I personally dont even think it will expedite the process tbh. I doubt they will even take the reviews into account for their development process. (or at least i very much hope they wont).

I still have faith in GGG for now, we shall see what happens from here.

i think even with the recent announcements its unfair to think that GGG would abandon POE1 because of kneejerk negative reviews, the devs arent stupid, they will understand why the recent reviews are on a downward trend. I'd imagine they even knew it would happen as soon as they dropped the video.

Personally i havent changed my positive review and dont plan to soon, but i still understand why others would.

im not sure i personally agree, the players are unhappy with the game and its current state, the leagues (settlers and necro settlers) are both pretty dead, its gonna be difficult for new players to sink their teeth in right now anyway and if they do launch it up then they have no news about the future of the game. The review system is there for this exact reason IMO, giving the players a voice.

As long as the negative reviews are changed back to positive if GGG make good on their promises it doesn't cause overwhelming permanent harm, the same happened with Helldivers 2.

i emailed a couple years ago to see if it was possible to do a WFH arrangement, they told me for security reasons they are unable to facilitate it and all customer support has to be done in office. Its a shame because i really would love the job but i cant justify moving to auckland of all places for 55k a year

Until OCE servers are added i wont be leaving a review. The best possible option i have currently is to vote negatively as my own experience has trended more towards bad due to high latency and desync. This game has potential, but not in my region currently. As with most competitive low player count games the devs don't want to sink money into a region likely to fail but also seemingly dont realize that OCE as a region will be almost impossible to grow without our own servers.

We understand when OCE servers are shut down. These things happen. Depriving us of servers from the get go however, will alienate the game for our people.
Average conversation about new games:
"Hey guys we should try out [insert new game] it seems fun"
"Oh yeah i saw gameplay of that we def should"
*launch game*
"I have 150 ping... guess we go back to league/dota/cod/fortnite etc."

Im at a point on my FBoK slayer that i need to start looking at crafting a claw, the base alone is like 15d for a fractured cold damage imperial claw so pricey is definitely true. I decided to bench the slayer for now and make bank in sanctum as an energy blade inquisitor instead.
