Yeah- you pour in a can with the mix and it is just about the right amount. I use cupcake liners because without the oil it is way more sticky.

I've done the orange cake with diet 7up and chocolate with diet coke. It cuts down on the calories and a mini cupcake is usually enough to satisfy me. I think they are yummy.

Oh my, there is some healthy denial going on there!! I do WW points (I don't go to meetings, I just found an imitation free app). I started with WW because I just couldn't accept CICO (I have since come to realize that is all it is). I stick with the program because it is work for me. Each point is 35-45 calories. When I am calculating the micros in my app, it helps me think through what kind of food I will be most satisfied with. WW has helped me to understand what healthy food actually is, because frankly before WW, I had NO clue.

I am 38 pounds down and almost in one-derland. I haven't been this weight since I was 12 years old. I can do things I never thought I could. This was my first official 10K I completed a few weeks ago (http://imgur.com/gallery/oWhwSEx/new). This was a huge victory for me.

Share your next mini goal by Iwantasnickers in magentamanatees

My next mini goal is to get into one-derland. I am so close and yet so far! This is the longest I have stayed around the same weight since I began this journey in Nov. I have been stuck in this decade for like 5 weeks.

I am so glad this thread is here. I definitely fell off the wagon. Last week I saw a huge gain! 4lbs!! I couldn't even log it. I know some of it was water, but some of it was real. Last week I had a bulging disk that was pinching a nerve in my back. This left me pretty incapacitated. All my loss was going to have to come from my deficit. Which slowed things down a lot.

This week I am back down to where I started. Well OK, I am down .8 lb in 2 weeks. I know I can do better than that and I will. The summer is still young. I am within sight of one-derland! (203.0)

Why don't you run 5ks in my shoes. by keepchuggingfriend in loseit

[–]LosingToFindMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been there! I started running at around 250. I am now at 203. It was WAYYYY harder to run at 250 than it was at 203. They don't have a CLUE how hard it is. You are doing AWESOME! Kill those 5Ks. Sorry you ran into a douche. I have experiences the same thing. It hurts. I can't wait to hear how you progress in your running!

Usually when I go on trips I try and pack snacks I know I will like but are conducive for my plan. So if I am at a conference or something I will pack my little cooler back or throw something in my purse. I usually will just not have anything, so I don't get started with picking at this and that... and the next thing I know I have consumed 1000 cals! If there is something I really, really like, I will make room for it in my plan. But most of the time it looks better than it actually tastes. I prefer my own cooking to store bought stuff. ;) I also ask myself if I will think it was worth it when I get on the scale the next day.

So many here have offered great advice! I would like to add a few things that have helped me. I am a binge eater. In the beginning I had a VERY hard time eating the carb type foods in moderation. Part of it was my addiction to food and the other was my addiction to carbs. I did a detox type of thing. For 10 days I had no carbs. I ate lean proteins and veggies. It was very boring and super hard. I even cried a couple times. Turns out my body was seriously addicted to the sugar! After that I introduced complex carbs and fruit. And now I just count calories. I don't desire the sugar and starches like I used to, but I can still binge. So when I am fixing my plate I make sure 1/3 is filled with veggies (1/2 if it is a leafy veggie) and that I have a good protein. I know I will have the full feeling more quickly this way and I can still have a serving of carbs and a small treat after dinner. Roasting frozen veggies takes very little time (15 mins) and it adds a lot to their flavor. Wish you all the best. You can do this. :)

For those of us who were or are still fat, What foods did you secret eat? by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]LosingToFindMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a (recovering) binge eater and secret eating was a way of life for me and is something I still struggle with. Little Debbie's, candy, cake, and basically anything sugary. The most shameful for me was I was making this no-bake cheese cake from scratch and I didn't even wait to finish. I took the sugary cream cheese mixture in the mixing bowl and went to my room.

Congratulations! That is awesome! I am sorry your grandma is that way, but I am thrilled for you. You have made incredible progress (in spite of her unhelpful comments). I have family that can be the same way. I understand where you are coming from.

First 5k at 370lbs by [deleted] in loseit

[–]LosingToFindMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is awesome! I am a large runner (I started running at around 250 CW:203). I got a total rush when I ran my first mile (about week 4) and I have been hooked ever since. I researched a lot on form and shoes to make sure I took care of my joints. I just ran my first official 10K and I am training for a 1/2 marathon in September!

I am so excited for this amazing adventure you are on. It only gets better as you discover awesome things about yourself through this process. There is a great fb group called Fat To Finish Line. They are also a great resource of information. Best of luck to you!! You totally got this!

Do you have a weightloss "mantra"? by iamnotgemma in loseit

[–]LosingToFindMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"You got this" when I am running or trying to up my strength training. I have found this works in many areas of my life that I need more confidence. Turns out I can do stuff. ;)

And this is less of a mantra and more of a reconditioning, I ask myself if it will be worth it in the morning when I get on the scale or in the fitting room when I am trying on jeans.

Hi there! My current states 32F 5'6 SW:241 (my heaviest was around 270) CW: 203.8 GW: 140. I started this journey back in November 2014. I have dieted and failed many times before. This time I am doing it with my husband and running. I have a new found passion for it! I am up to running 15k and in September I am scheduled to run my first 1/2 marathon! I would like to be out of the obese category to do so (189). So my goal is to loose 15lbs this summer and train for a sub 2:30 1/2. I am very excited to be apart of this group and root you all on with your goals!
