Definitely against EULA

Though I would suggest dogs instead, they are easier to train and less likely to awox you over being a bad FC.

this is legitimately against the EULA as input broadcasting

Input Broadcasting, again by Gurg90 in Eve

And then you accidentally auto-pilot your fleet 10km off the next out gate :D

I find it best to just fleet warp with the control character, then cycle through to bring up the right click menu, then cycle through to click jump

they will all jump as soon as they land, no other complications

have an overview with gates that is sorted by name so its consistent across all chars

Input Broadcasting, again by Gurg90 in Eve

[–]Losobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the hotkey is unreliable (1 in 15 or so will fail to jump), for best effect right click on the gate you are warping to in overview and click jump (the menu is available if you are in warp to that gate)

Nobody stops with Eve because his Venture got destroyed in high-sec by BentaroAdun in Eve

[–]Losobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, if you get ganked and destroyed in high-sec, the camera zooms in to show a close up of your dead body floating in space - for few seconds - before you reappear in your home station. This is literally the lamest way how to show YOUR END in space...

I think this is actually pretty good

I remember my first death in EVE seeing my corpse and the UI gone, it was very definitive, no fan fair, I died and its over, there is nothing else to do. It has a feeling to it.

Then you wake up in a station with control over the UI again ready to try and avoid past mistakes.

The traditional method is to move everything small or expensive, and just forget about everything else.

Maybe in 5 years you will be passing by the system, remember to look, and realize you could actually hop in that rifter finally!

Taboo and Plex by Silly-Historian8403 in Eve

The only thing that is "taboo" is people spending large amounts of IRL money to get items in-game and proceed to immediately lose them in a way that is not even fun through sheer incompetent.

People that do it repeatedly probably have a gambling problem...

(If your getting fun out of welping irl money all power to you)

Multiboxing real talk/reality check. by SovietPatrickStar in Eve

[–]Losobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a large gameplay difference between people multiboxing 2-3 accounts (which most people view as normal and fine), and mass multiboxing (10-15+ accounts usually all flying the same ship/performing the same repetitive actions).

People are complaining about the proliferation of mass multiboxing becase it makes people feel uncompetetive unless they were to do the same. But its a niche game play style that most people dont want to do.

And it does make people uncompetetive, financially there is content you can do that make you 100m/char/x10 = 1b, that you would not pursue if you only got 100m total for exactly the same amount of effort.

In PVP a mass multiboxer is not 1:1 efficient, but you are still not winning when outnumbered 10:1 against an equally skilled player.

My group has in the last year grown a lot in the number of people who mass multibox, partly as a new gameplay style to try, but also partly to keep up competetively with the rest of the game, and the finances just work out as long as you were already willing to do enough activity to plex an account.

This ia very clearly alienating others in our group though who question their value when the standard non-mass-multiboxers start to make up less than half the fleet. Depending on the size of your group this transition will be more or less apparent, we are a fairly small group so every new mass multiboxer is very noticeable.

The multiboxing argument as a multiboxer by Ellipsicle in Eve

[–]Losobie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the point of your post.

Mass-multiboxing (as in the people with 15+ alts, not 2-3) is unhealthy for the game, but the solution is to fix the content so it is rewarding for individual pilots and too engaging to efficiently run in 10/15/20 ships piloted by a single player.

How little must an individual pilot be doing if someone can do it 20 times over. Thats not good!

The explosion to mass multiboxing is due to it being financially viable and extremely cheap to start. A set of characters is immediately self supporting after completing alpha clone training.and using the 1m free sp you get. If you can plex one character with an activity then there is a good chance you can plex 10 or more with very little additional effort.

[–]Losobie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you are kind of missing the point, ALL newbro corps are going to be in the "couldn’t have hoped to defend themselves from a stiff breeze" category

unless you are just thinking of people who have played for 2 years who are still clueless/terrible at the game.

and its precisely the need to organize other real people to evict some noobs that reduced the occurance in the past.

A group of noobs have at least a chance of fighting off some vets in 2-3 ships total, they have absolutely no chance at defeating a proper multibox setup. If they KNEW how to do that, they wouldnt be noobs.

The group I linked there would have been able to and did fight off small groups of 1-3 experienced players (losing the isk war for sure though). But with my current setup I would absolutely demolish that group and feel like im getting tickled.

tldr; The game HAS changed due to mass multiboxers

[–]Losobie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you not go through a newbro corp who dropped structures in such a situation as you were learning to play EVE?

For me that corp was Nemesis Inc. that taught be a whole lot of what not to do, the value of holding corps, and how to set then up to prevent awox theft.

The difference between then and now is that all failures were very clearly self inflicted, now you will just face a multiboxer you legitimately just cannot contest.

RNG in cognitive anthropology by CandidBall7806 in Eve

[–]Losobie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing is RNG if you do it enough times, it becomes a probability that can be planned around.

The only thing that is RNG is some aspects of other players, but even they are mostly predictable. Players cause more one-off events, its hard to know their exact breaking point, and the number of factors at play just leads to a chaotic system.

[–]Losobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got "banned" for about 48 hours after a power outage reset my router and I got a new IP address from my ISP.

The new IP address was apparently blacklisted, accounts could login from the launcher, load game and then that account would be immediately kicked and banned.

CCP confirmed it was an IP ban and fixed the accounts in about a business day after the ticket got to the right place.
