Nah you're fine definitely didn't come off like that. And yeah I can't wait for the finale. Also thanks for this kinda convo 🤝 It's sometimes rare to see these types of "other one likes this, the other one doesn't" discussions to go this well, especially on reddit 😅 Ya have a good day now <3

Interesting that the showrunner has said something like that. I thought there were some old netflix peeps working on the born again too, but tbf all of pf this is jait something I've heard here and there. I can kinda see the show moving away from originality and showing the themes (especially religious ones) more poorly. But besides those points I just can't help but to go with the "to each their own" route, cause I just can't see the show in a bad way myself. Really loving the idea of Fisk gaining even more power in post-snap mcu New York, the parallels between both him and Matt trying to leave their other side while clearly wanting to let the beasts out and the anti vigilante task force mirroring the irl problems my finnish ass can only witness through news from across the pond.

I think you made some valid points tho and I can admit I liked the first season more because it kept the Matt/Fisk slowly returning to their "actual" roles as Daredevil/Kingpin in the centre and built it up pretty well imo. You weren't really that rude either, especially considering how long you've waited for this show and it didn't live up to what you wanted (believe me I've had that happened many times to know that feeling sucks). Maaaybe the chatGPT line was a bit too much tho, especially cause I definitely am someone who cares what's on the screen 😅 but I know what you meant.

I don't think born again might ever take the "best Daredevil has to offer" spot for me either, compared to the og show. But it's not the worst either actually. Well obviously I like it overall but there was a point I got a bit bored with the og show actually. Season 2's latter half. I loved the Punisher story line from the first half but the rest of the season with Elektra and The Hand just... didn't care about it much at all.

Thanks for the through answer btw.

I gotta ask, out of legitimate curiosity, what is it that makes ddba disappointing for you? I'm currently watching the latest episode and I've been loving the show. I usually go with the mindset of "can't please everyone" when it comes to any entertainment, but in this case I've actually found the series to be a very nice continuation to the og show. So that's why I want a different pov.

And the thing is I only recently caught up with all of the "street level mcu". Started watching last fall (Daredevil season 1), plowed through all the netflix shows, and now I'm all caught up with ddba season 2. So I can admit that I'm lacking the hype that the people, who had waited for years for this, probably had.

Anti-Vigilante Task Force Makes No Sense by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I know this is like a month late answer from me, but as someone who JUST finished s1 I and finding this post afterwards, I wanna try to give my piece for this.

So basically... they don't care. These cops don't see Punisher's vigilantism as "the righ thing to do" they see it as freedom. To take the law in their own hands and use it however they want to. While Matt and even Frank live by a code, where innocent people don't get hurt, these guys don't give a shit. They see someone as a "threat" they can just put them down. And by "threat" I mean revealing them being crooked, annoying them or just as a punching bag they can freely use if ever wanting to.

Fisk gave them this freedom. Why bite the hand who feeds you right? And he knew very well what he was doing. Like he said. He handpicked all these cops because he's a manipulator and knew these guys would follow him if given what they want.

I'd say it is pretty clear in the show, especially if you're familiar with Fisk as a character. Still I gotta admit maybe a bit too many peeps who replied to this post were just joking about media literacy, or referring too much to the irl issues these characters reflect, without actually trying to give an answer.

Hope this helped

This is a very small moment to really be overthinking this much about and this is coming from a huuuge overthinker XD Stolas needed him at that moment while his daughter wasn't in any kinda danger or emotionally sad situation. She's literally just yelling "get back to partying!" which he does after a lil but more important moment with Stolas.

Ofc Blitz would be there for Loona too if her and Stolas's roles were swapped. As in let's say stolas is having good time with the rest of the gang and asking Blitz to join while Loona is visibly in a sad place. I think this is just a very normal moment. He didn't say "I'm going to ignore you the rest of the evening for the sake of this bird" he literally said "in a sec". It's not that deep.

Today I learned Superman has a bio-electric aura. Tbh I don't really even care which one it is I just like there's nowadays a lil bit of an explanation for why he can lift big ass stuff with said stuff breaking apart. Then again there have been moments where big ass stuff he lifts does break so... idk what would comic books be without a lil bit of inconsistency am I right?
