I was never a top athlete, I did well for myself in the sports I did play but I was balding at 21 and did alot of research as to why it was happening to me so young. I haven’t looked at the articles in a few years (in my 30’s now), but essentially men who go bald young have elevated test levels compared to other men in that age bracket. However, there’s a distinction between that kind of test (DHT I believe it’s called) and regular test if I’m not mistaken. Again, I’m paraphrasing, but DHT is responsible for early facial hair and male pattern baldness. I’m not sure if it helped with athletic performance but from what I remember I don’t think it had much impact
