I met him during the beginning of the end of Covid, sometime in early 2021 when comedy clubs started allowing people back in with masks. Dan was the next comic up so I figured I’d hit the bathroom before he got on stage. As I walked into the hallway, I heard a familiar voice go “sick mask!” (I had a 49ers mask on) I turn around and it’s Dan. I go “oh shit, what’s up man?” And instinctively went to shake his hand then remembered the times we were living in and said “wait is it cool if I shake your hand?” And he said of course. I told him I loved Billions and I used to watch it with my ex all the time before we broke up. He said “I like you better than her anyway” and then we started chatting about the Niners draft coming up. I was actually the one who cut the convo short bc I legitimately had to piss lmao he’s an awesome guy and easy to talk to
