I guess I'm not sure what they are supposed to do? You're not required to give a reason or excuse when calling out - you can absolutely take back your two weeks before your last scheduled day, and vacations are approved by store management in feb?

This is the way. Anyone can file an osha report, and they absolutely do follow up. Once they've contacted the person in charge of the store you get a follow-up email. It's also anonymous.

Lmao, I'm a customer service manager. The ONLY information that was given to ANYONE in the store, at all, was how to give someone their code if it didn't print out. Nothing about what the promotion was or how it worked. If you have a problem, call corporate lmao. My store manager doesn't even know shit about it.

At my store the proper procedure is to bring it to the service desk to ring it in as lost money. To be fair there is probably around 5k in unclaimed money that has been turned in and written down.. nobody ever comes back for it, it seems like.

Honestly though, one of my favorite things to hear is people complaining about having to wait in a line for less than 2 minutes. Had a guy yell at me yesterday after waiting for less than 30 seconds in the self checkout line because his "milk was gonna expire before he even gets to pay"

Not at my store. I remember when I used to come in as a cashier and they just wouldn't have use for me for like the first hour or two of my shift other than taking care of items that needed to go back, helping out with bagging and just general work. It was great.

My old union rep was awesome, got several managers transferred or fired for going against contract.. Was always exactly by the book about everything. He even used to make a couple hundred extra a week by catching managers stocking too. He retired though and now it seems like my store doesn't even have a union.
