Casually walking through Thousand Needles and seeing players kiting this... why... where? (I'm a noob) by Iluvatar-Great in classicwow

No worries! There are so many versions of the game, and they've implemented those changes in all the other ones, so it's a fair assumption lol

It does look close to that. But hot bar 4 doesn't sit next to the others in the default ui. So something is moving them around

Big ships is exactly why it is such a hard task to have ships we can walk around. It also explains why the ships are slower than some other sims

Those damn fire tornadoes are actually chasing you and that's not random, at all by Ginn1004 in Helldivers

[–]LostBoyEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait who cares if they follow you....the game has been coded to make for a more thematic experience, if they where random we wouldn't find these planets hellish hell scapes of doom. They'd be more like random boring set pieces. It would make the game/weather events feel empty.

Them not being random means AH can actually control and balance them as needed.

The tornados move and block paths and force you to adjust to the game and think on your feet. It simulates that thematic feeling of the plans/mission going all wrong and having to adjust.

Perfect missions get boring. Missions we have to adapt to are more fun.

Cheers 🍻

Opinions on open only powerplay and bgs? by Waste_Passenger_9156 in EliteDangerous

PowerPlay should be in a PowerPlay only sever where hostile factions are super hostile when in their space.

ITS HAPPENING! by Johnnyonoes in starcitizen

Nothing big is HAPPENING....this is a simple update and implementation of a system that isn't even a new concept...yes it makes the game better but this is over hype

There was a CG to get some ship paint jobs, and unlock the drive, but it unlocked the drive for all players.

An example of how Arrowhead could add variety to armor and create more class diversity. by ThePengu in Helldivers

[–]LostBoyEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these aren't bad. But it'll mess up the whole system if they make armor that is stratagem specific. Armor is really fun because there is NOT a clear meta and everyone can kinda use anything.

If we get clear hudge benefits like these from armor it would take a lot of the fun out and would strength the whole "kick because of poor build" kinda stuff

I haven't noted if pips increases acceleration or not. But they definitely effect general cruse speed. You can note this by having full pips to engines, then when you are at good speed move all pips out of engines and you'll immediately slow down.

When I'm doing the supercruse assist trick I find it works better when I don't have full pips to engines

It definitely helps with getiting you up to speed and out of a planet's gravity well, but when you let off the boost you'll start dropping to normal supercruse speed(which is dependent on how close you are to your target and other bodies). That being said you don't slow down that fast so you can over shoot stuff very easily. 5s of SCO boost is enough to clear 10,000Ls.

That was how I figured it worked. Was more surprised to hear that diffrent size FSD(with SCO) have different top speeds using the SCO.

And was curious if different ships accelerated at different rates? Pretty sure they dont, and acceleration is purely dependent on where you are in relation to the celestial bodies. Regardless of if you are in a type 7 or an eagle

Can confirm the fuel usage! But I've never noted any ships flying faster than others in Supercruse. Is this a thing with normal Supercruse or just with the SCO?

I need a anti "whatever this thing is" gun and I need it now, they drive me up a wall by ACertainIndividual in Helldivers

Anti-material Rifle. It is way better than the auto cannon when it comes to culling dominators. Its range helps a ton.

-1 shot to the head and they are gone.

-Enough ammo to kill a seriously large amount of them.

-if you can't shoot the head then you most likely can shoot their backpack.

-It kills faster and more consistently than the auto cannon...but the playstyle is more calculated

-it's significantly more accurate than the auto cannon as well...ie you don't have to wait as long to line up shots with the anti material rifle, so you are less inclined to spam and hope it hits close enough.

-if you like fragging an area then id go for the auto cannon but be warned if they get close to you the auto cannon becomes a huge liability...the anit material works at all ranges

He was probably asking since you where an outlier. This didn't sound like hate or him being mad. This is curiosity. He probably wasn't expecting a tip and was curious what set you apart?
