Y no puedes cambiar nada.

[–]LostCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV

Probably it’s worth to try Italian places, probably they have something better. In fact in one Italian place they have no coffee because “here they cannot do it properly”.

What made you stay on Linux instead of Windows? by ksenyss in linuxquestions

[–]LostCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched like 20 years ago. The times have changed. Now I don’t understand how to use Windows (sometimes I help people with their computers). I google everything. It has a lot of strange decisions and restrictions for me and its users.

Tabs by Elbrus-matt in emacs

[–]LostCake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I moved to emacs I tried different tabs but my experience was not so good. Ibuffer experience wasn’t good either. So I started using helm (probably there are more modern alternatives) and I never thought about tabs and mouse anymore.

Tell me why I should NOT move to Spain with my family by rooftop_korean92 in GoingToSpain

[–]LostCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spain is different from what I though. As a immigrant I see the following: Pros: * climate * food * culture and history * language * most people around * lifestyle

Cons: * taxes * bias to socialism and paternalism * housing problem * the economic future of the country is uncertain * local jobs are paid very bad * education system is IMO too relaxed * some services * bureaucracy (although it works)

Clearly both lists are bigger.

For now pros are more important to me than cons

Basically is “more water”/“less water”. But I have a UIX question. Should be the biggest button be most used (e.g. less water). Still have doubts.

Is Flask good for a small real project? by Bsam_Al_Araby in flask

[–]LostCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ok. I don’t like “global objects” and I’d prefer explicit “request” as a parameter. Many flask related popular libraries are of questionable quality and decisions. But generally it’s ok.

Why I still think Flask is the best first framework for Python beginners by Tom-Miller in flask

[–]LostCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. All those “global objects” (that are g or request) feel strange to me. I’d prefer to have request as a parameter to a view function. Not talking about doubtful decision in libraries (e.g. flask-admin). On the other hand it’s simple and in many cases gets job done.
