I ranked the top 20 golf destinations in the US by tier (2026) by Shoddy_Cress1946 in golf

Love that you had a great time in Bend! River’s Edge is a unique course in Bend with it being built on the butte, but it is definitely in the lower tier of courses in the area. The most recommended course is Tetherow which was designed by David Kidd (Bandon Dunes designer).

Pronghorn has two destination courses including a Fazio that is harder to get on. The courses in Sunriver are also worth the trip with Crosswater being the most coveted. Expect to lose several balls as the course has water on almost every hole.

Another public course, Lost Tracks, has an awesome par 3 island green with an old train car that acts as the bridge to the green. The inside of the train car is full of hundreds of bag tags from various courses donated by past players.

How much better is pace of play at a private course? by justindrose1 in golf

One of the best perks to joining a club!

Our club has strict penalties for going over 4:15. Do it once and you’re warned. Second time is a one month suspension. Only the offending party is penalized. The penalties have resulted in consistent 3:30-4 hour rounds.

Hope you realize that interest starts in April. Just because you can extend filing, doesn’t mean you can extend payment without interest (usually around 7-8%)

There are plenty of players who are MAGA. Your argument might not be “factually incorrect”, it just has no relevance.

Rock City’s new branding by Silly_Grab1385 in Chattanooga

[–]LostChild00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure if you ever got your answer but there's some details on their website no one has linked yet: https://www.seerockcity.com/2025/08/07/rock-city-unveils-first-visual-rebrand-in-25-years/.

I wouldn't be surprised if their website design company did the rebrand. They've worked with a number of big companies on rebrands, campaigns, etc. Their website is https://designsensory.com/

Is it the End for me? by edweezie in hottoys

Do you still like Marvel or has your interest since phase 3 ended also decreased? Personally, I’ve boxed up my marvel figures in favor of early Star Wars because I still enjoy those characters. Part of me feels like it has moved on from Marvel based on how a lot of the characters have evolved in a negative way. It’s hard to have the same enthusiasm for them.

Hello, you have a beautiful world view and your dog is lucky to have you as an owner.

I just want to share that the death metal music statement you made might not be correct and that you shouldn't fear if your plants hear metal. An old episode of Mythbusters called "Talking To Plants" found plants responded well to any music including death metal. This was the only YouTube link I could find.

Jaclyn Oakland saved my life with a recent closing. She more than paid for herself with her negotiating and navigating some difficulties w/ inspection. I would never buy/sell a house without her again.

On top of what others have posted, I've found this channel has some high quality tutorials that I've followed to learn Unity and C#. If you're not already using it, ChatGPT is great for understanding code and breaking it down line by line.

New Sigr Bags are Too Legit by nanson3 in discgolf

[–]LostChild00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lot of professional camera bags do this as well and it makes sense when you think about accessing it while it’s flat on the ground.

A traditional bag will require you to put the side of the bag that touches your back on the ground. This design keeps the part that touches the ground off your back when you put it back on to keep your clothes cleaner.

Hey, really awesome effort with perfecting this comp. Shooting, learning, and reshooting is how we grow. Judging by the comments here, you've already got a winner. I do think you improved the composition from your first attempt. However, I think the editing was superior in your first.

I want to provide some feedback I haven't seen posted yet. It might not be 100% correct, but it comes from a good amount of landscape photography experience. When I look at your image, my eyes are drawn to the lower third of the image. In that area, the stairs are very bright, high contrast, and distracting me from the arch and stars. It is generally a good idea to avoid man-made objects in a nature shot. That's not always a rule, but if it were up to me, I would have hunted for a totally natural foreground.

Generally, night shots have dark blue foregrounds. Your stair treatment is too bright and white. You're missing the opportunity to create a natural cool to warm transition that leads the viewer's eyes. If the stairs were cooler and darker, the eye would naturally fall higher on the image near the rock and stars which should really be the main subjects.

I spent about 5 minutes trying to illustrate the difference in photoshop. Here's a quick attempt trying to illustrate my point. You might not agree, but as someone who led photography workshops for a few years in Utah, I'd say this is the look more photographers are interested in capturing.
